About this property
Blue Pebble - Chic and comfortable retreat, near coastal path and local beaches
Blue Pebble is a modern detached annex to our home situated in a quiet location above the village of Mevagissey by the sea. Described by guests as a beautifully clean, stylish and comfortable space, the accommodation has it’s own entrance and private drive so there’s plenty of free parking, a bonus for those who find it difficult to drive through the busy narrow streets of the village.
A short walk to the spectacular coastal path or to the picturesque village where pubs, restaurants, galleries and shops cluster along the narrow streets, it’s the perfect base for exploring on foot. The sandy beaches at Polstreath and Pentewan, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are all within reasonable walking distance, or jump into the car and venture further afield to the famous Eden Project or visit the cathedral city of Truro. Whatever your interests there’s something for everyone to enjoy - you won’t be disappointed!
Returning to Blue Pebble you can relax and unwind. Cook a meal if you don’t fancy eating out. Cosy up on the sofa, read a book or watch your favourite film, enjoy a glass of wine on your own private patio watching the sun go down.
Detached annex with free parking outside. Reverse accommodation. Hall to ground floor bedroom with king size bed, wardrobe, en-suite electric shower, WC and basin. Doors from bedroom to private patio.
Upstairs to spacious open plan living area with beautiful panoramic views across the countryside. A well equipped kitchen with large breakfast bar and seating. Living area has a comfortable sofa, smart TV, a writing desk, cloakroom with WC and basin. WiFi.
Cornwall is not flat, as with similar accommodation situated on the outskirts it’s a short walk down to the village and a longer uphill walk back depending on your level of fitness! not an issue for most but might be if you have limited mobility or you could drive down and use the public car parks. At Blue Pebble you have the advantage of parking outside your front door avoiding the need to navigate the narrow (and sometimes very busy) streets into the village.

About the host
Hosted by Pinky Baria
Originally from London we wanted to get away from city life and live in Cornwall. We fell in love with Mevagissey and made it our home. All of Cornwall is lovely but we think Mevagissey is the most beautiful!
Why they chose this property
Mevagissey is a charming picturesque village once the centre of Cornwall’s pilchard fishery. Unlike many other coastal villages in Cornwall, Mevagissey it is not just a popular tourist destination but has a working harbour and retains a thriving fishing industry. The local restaurants and eateries source their seafood locally with menus determined by the catch of the day. It has a strong resident community and does not ‘shut down’ during the low holiday season but remains vibrant and welcoming throughout the year. This is why we chose to live in Mevagissey and be part of a close community which values and protects it’s history.
The accommodation is the ideal base for exploring on foot to the local beaches and along the extensive coastal path with stunning views. Discover smuggling ports and tiny hamlets along the way, then relax in a pub serving the finest Cornish ales and beer! It’s also the ideal central base for driving to various historic destinations such as Tintagel Castle, Charlestown, Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Eden Project and many others. For keen surfers Fistral beach is a forty minute drive away, described as one of the world’s top surfing destinations and a venue for major international competitions. Other sports available locally include kayaking and paddle boarding.
