Fantastic Family visit

Myself, my husband and 2 children stayed at the house for 4 nights in June and it was perfect for our family. Carole, the owner was wonderful to us, really friendly and helpful which we really appreciated especially woth children. Location is perfect, few min walk to the pretty village and very quiet and peaceful. Would certainly return!

Wonderful stay in Connemara

We are a family of 4 with 2 young children and we stayed at the end of August. We loved the location. There is beautiful views from the front of the house and just a short stroll into Roundstone village. We were very comfortable in the house and it is very well equipped. Carole is an excellent host, very kind and accommodating. The house was a great base for us. Our week consisted of beach trips, Clifden trips, a boat trip with fishing, local walks and Connemara national park and all so accessible. We would love to return.

Roundstone with moutain views

We had a lovely weekend in Roundstone, and the cottage is just a few minutes walk from the famous O'Dowd's pub and seafood restaurant, where visitors order a pint and cross the road to the harbour boundary wall, where there is a a glorious view of Roundstone bay and the Connemara mountains The lady in charge was very helpful and welcoming, and the cottage has all the basics, even an air fryer, so home catering is very doable. It's location is just up the hill from the main street, and there are fine views of the mountains from the house Make sure you visit Gurteen beach, and the gorgeous Dog's Bay beach, which back on to each other, and offer a great beach walk and swimming place A beautiful part of Connemara
