The path winds gently upward, leading to a private terraced garden where you can settle into the evening with a glass of something chilled, watching the sun dip behind the rolling hills. Inside, every corner of the cottage has been designed with comfort and warmth in mind. Light pours in through south-facing windows, framing the view over the estate’s old bell tower and out toward distant Dartmoor. The open-plan kitchen, living, and dining area invites everyone to gather, whether cooking, chatting by the wood burner, or sharing a meal around the dining table. A snug room with a Smart TV offers the perfect retreat for film nights, while the large utility room and downstairs cloakroom make everyday life easy and unhurried. Upstairs, three bedrooms await, a master with an ensuite shower, a twin, and a single (sleeping 1/2), along with a spacious modern bathroom.
Outside, the back garden climbs steeply, but the reward is a terrace that catches the very best of the sunset, the golden light spilling over the rooftops of Fursdon House below. When the day’s adventures begin, you’ll have plenty of options to choose from. Within forty minutes, you can be on Dartmoor’s rugged tors or wandering Exmoor’s wild hills, the wind full of heather and promise. The North Devon and East Devon coasts each make perfect day trips, offering sandy beaches, hidden coves, and seaside towns with welcoming pubs. Nearby, the historic city of Exeter offers vibrant shops, cafes, and a magnificent cathedral, while charming Tiverton delights with its canal walks, traditional markets, and timeless Devon countryside charm.
