About this property

Cosey Cotswold Cottage in Laverton Village, ideal base for exploring and walking

Recently refurbished Bowmeadow Cottage is over four hundred years old and steeped in history. Enjoy your stay in an authentic Cotswold Cottage, lovingly restored to retain period features and furnished with antiques. Relax in front of the large inglenook fireplace in the cosy sitting room, eat in the dining room and study overlooking the garden. The kitchen with Belfast sink is well equipped and there is a separate boot room with washing machine, tumble drier, and downstairs W.C. On the first floor the bedroom has a King size bed with an en-suite shower room.
White cotton bedlinen, dressing gowns and towels make your stay as comfortable as possible.
On summer days French doors open to the garden for alfresco dining or barbecues.
Open the front door to The Cotswold Way, a paradise for walkers and cyclists, or why not ride over the Cotswold Hills at Jill Carenzas’ famous riding school located in the nearby village of Stanton. There is private off-road parking for two cars, and a garden shed storage for bicycles.
The village of Laverton is situated 2 miles south of the historic village of Broadway with Museums, Art galleries and shops to explore, and an excellent range of places to eat from traditional pubs to excellent cuisine of the famous, The Lygon Arms, The House of George and Russells.
The village of Laverton is a cluster of cottages and farmhouses, built of local Cotswold stone, the oldest dating back at least to the 17th century. The village is at the foot of the Cotswold hills and footpaths link to neighbouring villages of Stanton, Snowshill and Buckland.
