The living area leads to front decking offering privacy, an outdoor shower, and hooks for drying wetsuits there.
Porthtowan Beach is a soft, sandy haven framed by dramatic cliffs and known for its fantastic surf, widely regarded as one of the North Coast’s best family beaches. A short walk down a steep lane takes you directly to the beach, the welcoming village pub, and the handy local shop. The walk back up is a little more challenging, but the stunning scenery more than makes up for it. There is so much to do in the area: wander along the spectacular coastal paths, discover hidden tidal pools, or hire bikes and complete the Bissoe to Portreath trail. Historians will love exploring the remains of engine houses and remnants of old tramways once used to transport tin and copper—many of these former industrial routes are now converted into scenic cycle paths and footpaths. Nearby lies Tehidy Woods, the largest area of woodland in West Cornwall, offering over nine miles of beautiful paths, peaceful lakes, and meandering streams, dogs are welcome but not around the lake.
At the end of a busy day head home and sit in front of the log burner or enjoy the stunning night skies, you will find the perfect blend of natural beauty and activities for all ages.
