A bijou little bolthole in the North Yorkshire countryside, this holiday home provides the perfect romantic respite for two guests and their dogs. This character cottage features plenty of eclectic features that creatively minded guests will love, as well as original features that celebrate the traditional architecture and resources of the surrounding area. After a long walk or bike ride amongst Swaledale scenery, steal away for a quiet moment in the studio’s mezzanine chill-out space, an area with bean bags and a relaxing ambience.
You’ll be instantly met by attractive stonework, slate flooring and wooden beams as you step inside this lovely studio place. With enough space for two to unwind, the main living area consists of a bespoke kitchen, a dining area and a double bed and sofa facing a wood burner and a TV. Get cosy on an evening with the fire blazing away, curled up either in bed or on the sofa. Along with the mezzanine layer accessed via a ladder, the property also benefits from a contemporary shower room with a shower crafted from local river stone. To complete the property’s offering, a fabulous little garden with a bistro set is just opposite, a wonderful spot for morning coffee or a sundowner in the company of the owner’s beloved pet sheep.
Centrally located for days out in Swaledale, the National Park’s most northerly dale, you can lace up your walking boots, jump on a bike or take the car to find adventure close by. Find the River Swale and Calver Hill (both 0.5 miles) on your doorstep for easy yet rewarding excursions. Even avid lovers of the outdoors should carve out time for a day trip to Richmond (12.5 miles), an enlivened market town with an iconic castle, a local museum and plenty of quality shops and eateries.
