Escape to Snowdonia and enjoy a relaxing, rural off-grid retreat on a working farm in the heart of the national park. Bursting with original features, this atmospheric farmhouse welcomes four guests making it ideal for families and groups of friends that love the great outdoors. Spend your days hiking, mountain biking, climbing and observing nature, then rest and recharge in the cosy lounge and watch the stars in this dark sky reserve.
Accessible via a rugged mountain trail that requires a 4x4, this is a peaceful property surrounded by farmland and mountains. Inside, this traditional farmhouse boasts rustic stone walls, beamed ceilings, slate flooring and relaxed decor, creating a cosy and inviting ambiance. Warmed by a large wood burner in an inglenook fireplace, sink into squashy sofas in the lounge to relax after days exploring. Then pop next door to cook up a storm with delicious local and farm produce in the kitchen, before gathering around the dining table to savour your creations. Two elegant double bedrooms set beneath the eaves call you upstairs to sleep, while a ground floor shower room offers comfort and convenience. Outside, stroll around the rambling private garden set over different levels, or explore acres of farmland, woodland, gardens and riverside belonging to the farm. The property benefits from private parking for two cars.
If you don’t feel like eating in, there’s a local pub around a mile away, or venture into the market town of Dolgellau to pick up supplies, dine in pubs and restaurants, and enjoy the lively music festival held every July. From here, pick up the Mawddach cycling and walking trail along the southern shore of the estuary, an area rich in nature and history. Or explore the rugged trails of the Eryri National Park (Snowdonia), with Snowdonia Mountain just 15 miles away. Due to location of this property we advise 4x4 vehicles be used to access.
