About this property
2 Bed in Wickhambrook (oc-b30507)
Set in the heart of Suffolk, not far from Cambridge and home of horseracing, Newmarket, this contemporary retreat is ideal for a dog-friendly family getaway in the English countryside. With an airy open-plan living space, a garden and modern appliances, you’ll be set for a relaxing and sociable break with your loved ones. Spend your time away seeing the wonderful historical landmarks, nature walking trails and quaint market towns.
Inside the property, you’ll find a neutral-toned open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with vertical wooden beams and plenty of natural light pouring through the windows and skylights. To one side of the space is a comfortable lounge area with pretty soft furnishings. Opposite the Smart TV is a comfortable sofa and an armchair for relaxed evenings. Adjacent is the kitchen/diner space with simple, stylish decor. Surrounding the six-seater dining table is a chic, L-shaped, fitted kitchen. Continue through the hallway past the convenient utility room to reach the stairs. On the first floor is a family shower room with a walk-in shower plus two bedrooms – a king-size with a Smart TV and a twin room. Outside is an enclosed garden with a patio area containing a BBQ and furniture. There is private parking for two cars.
While staying in rural Suffolk, head to the nearby village of Thorns (0.5 miles) for a meal at the local pub. For a wider range of eateries, boutique shops and charming cobblestone streets visit the historic city of Cambridge (22 miles). The Jewel in Suffolk’s Crown, Bury St Edmunds, is 12 miles away where you can admire the town’s 16th-century cathedral and sample the independent restaurants’ celebrated cuisine. Wander along the woodland trails of Thetford Forest (22 miles).
