Elegant and spacious, this picturesque stone farmhouse combines comfortable modern living with traditional styling and a host of period features. Delights include ornamental fireplaces, sash windows, quarry-tiled floors and the occasional surprising step up or down between rooms. The generous main entrance hall features an imposing ornamental stone fireplace and sofas where you can curl up quietly with a good book and a cup of tea. Alternatively, you might approach via the cobbled path and through the boot room, which has masses of space to store shoes and outerwear. The drawing room is a beautiful space with plenty of soft seating, an ornamental fireplace and a Smart TV, while the family room/diner is cosier, boasting another Smart TV, sofas and an open fire. This room opens directly to the welcoming dining space, with an Aga at the far end, antique pine dressers filled with blue-and-white crockery, and a large dining table for gathering around to enjoy hearty meals. This leads through to the separate kitchen which includes a more conventional electric oven and hob, as well as a microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. An American-style fridge/freezer combines with a separate larder for storing all your holiday goodies. There’s also a handy boot room and separate WC on this floor. Upstairs, you’ll find all seven bedrooms, of which one of the two super-king-size rooms has an incredible en-suite bathroom with a free-standing bath and separate shower. The other bedrooms share a bathroom and two shower rooms. Conveniently for families, there’s one dormitory-style bedroom with four single beds, and a single room that connects to the master bedroom, with the option of an additional pull-out bed.
From the huge, wrap around garden you’ll have wonderful views across fields and woodland. In addition to plenty of lawn space, this beautiful outside area has a patio with picnic tables and a gas BBQ, and there's even a trampoline for the little ones to bounce on. Making loading and unloading holiday gear straightforward, there’s also ample parking. Plus a hot tub can be hired for an additional charge. For special celebrations and get togethers, there is a separate, beamed event space available to hire with a dining table to seat up to 40 people, a small kitchen area and a WC.
