About this property
Hideaway Hut Wye, dog friendly accommodation for two people in Wye Valley
Tucked away in a peaceful woodland setting, Hideaway Hut offers a truly magical and unique place to stay. Deep in the woods, between The Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley in St Briavels, this handcrafted hut has been thoughtfully designed to blend seamlessly with nature and promote sustainable living. Built using locally sourced materials, it incorporates unique wooden features and natural elements found in the forest. Inside, you’ll find a cosy living area with a kitchenette and a king-size bed. Outside, you can unwind in the wood-fired hot tub as the sun sets through the trees. From the hand-built furniture to the wood-burning stove, every detail enhances the rustic yet elegant charm of the space.
Hideaway Hut is one of four handcrafted glamping accommodation set in the area of outstanding natural beauty, in the village of St. Briavels, between the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean, on the England/Wales border. Each space is self-contained, offering everything you need for a romantic, peaceful getaway in the woods.
Built by its owner using reclaimed materials in order to minimise environmental impact, Hideaway Hut harmonises beautifully with the surrounding woodland, inviting you to embrace nature and enjoy the simplicity of life.
Inside you’ll find a comfortable king-size bed outfitted with Welsh sheep’s-wool pillows, soft cotton bedding and towels. The fully stocked kitchenette includes a gas hob, fridge and all the utensils you need, and to make your stay even more relaxing, a complimentary sweet breakfast is provided. A wood-burning stove ensures warmth, while the seating area, framed by large open windows, provides the perfect spot to unwind and take in breathtaking views of the woodland, blurring the line between indoors and out.
There is a private en-suite hot shower room with complementary toiletries and a separate private outdoor composting toilet.
Wildlife is abundant here, you can spot nuthatches, woodpeckers, rabbits, squirrels, deer, birds of prey and owls right from the hut, whether you are inside or outside. As night falls, the firepit provides an ideal setting for stargazing. Dogs are very much welcome, too.
As the sun sets, immerse yourself in the wood-fired hot tub and watch the golden light filter through the branches. Situated on your private veranda, the hot tub is available to hire for an additional £100. (Not included in the price).
There is limited phone signal; giving you the opportunity to truly disconnect from daily distractions and enjoying uninterrupted time with your friends and family.
