Matlock’s independent cafés, restaurants, shops, and riverside walks are just a short walk away, and Matlock Bath - with its vibrant promenade, arcades, cable cars, and riverside scenery - is an easy 20-minute stroll. The Peak District is right on your doorstep, offering endless walking routes, beauty spots, and days out.

Everything you need is within walking distance.
• Matlock town centre: 10 minutes on foot
• Matlock Bath: approx. 20 minutes’ walk
• Public transport: Matlock train and bus stations are nearby, connecting you to Derby, Sheffield, Bakewell, and the wider Peak District.
• Parking: available a 5-minute walk away (approx. £6 per 24 hours).
Please note: access to the cottage is via a narrow lane for luggage drop-off only, followed by a footpath and stone steps, which form part of the character of this historic setting.

Bringing dogs? Here’s what to know:
Do:
• Bring up to 2 well-behaved dogs (Pet fees apply)
• Use any of the dog beds provided throughout the cottage
• Take dogs to the end of the lane to toilet and clean up afterwards
Don’t:
• Allow dogs on beds
• Allow dogs to toilet on the path leading to the cottage (it forms part of neighbours’ gardens)
Booking requirements:
• We only accept bookings from guests over the age of 25.
• Guests are required to provide a government-issued ID.
• A £250 damage deposit pre-authorisation is required - this isn’t a charge, and no payment will be taken unless there’s damage or house rules aren’t followed.

We give guests complete privacy to enjoy their stay, but we’re always available if you need us.
