Candlewood Lake Perfection: Large and very private House, property and pool.

This is an incredible property with a huge lake front, deck and side yards. There is a large open floor plan on the main level: Kitchen, living room and dining room. The MBR / bath is on the main level with 3 additional bedrooms on tbe ground floor. Two of the bedrooms have sliders to the pool / gardens with on-suite bathrooms. The other bedroom has a secret panel door to enter the bedroom. It is one of the coolest features in the house!!! This house is great for large and small families. House is 100% private with a long driveway and lots of parking. Beautifully landscaped gardens with more outdoor seating than you would ever need. Spectacular views during and day and as the sunsets!

New pool and huge blue stone patio with lots of seating and lounging for sun and shade lovers.

Half basketball court and Pickleball court!!

A new 5 hole putting green with sand trap was recently added. Very fun!!

There is space at the dock for you to rent one boat (sorry, no jet ski rentals) and dock it at the house. The existing boats and jet skies are not part of the rental.

There is a caretaker on the property. They have completely separated room and entrance but will be around taking care of the property.

A NEW KITCHEN with Butler’s pantry. Stunning. We ask that you do not bring your own grills, trailers, etc. the driveway is large and can accommodate cars so we ask that you not park on the grass. The property is only rented for 2 weeks in the summer so don’t wait to book it!

We are always so grateful if you are able to start even one load of laundry! We just ask that anything you start that you get into the dryer before you check out. Every load saves us an hour!
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
I try to keep the rental fee as low as possible. To do that I would appreciate you washing the sheets /towels & remaking the beds. NOT A REQUIREMENT
Please put all garbage & recycling in the garbage cans outside the garage doors (in bags). Pls. don't leave garbage inside when you leave.
I get many requests to either check in early or check out late & it just isn’t possible w/ the limited time to turn over the house between guests.

Chris is a super responsive host and the caretaker was very nice as well. The house and property are beautiful and it is so well stocked. They have anything you could ever need. We loved our stay there and would definitely go back again!

This house greatly exceeded my expectations! I gathered a group of friends & family for the 4th of July weekend and we had an absolutely magical time at Candlewood Lake. The house is even better than the photos and has everything you could need (& more!) We jumped off the dock, made smore's, grilled outdoor dinners, and played pool games :) The host was incredibly communicative and I can't wait to come back someday!

Perfect escape

Had a great Memorial Day weekend. House was incredibly clean and comfortable. It had all the amenities you could hope for for grownups and kids. We’ve rented a lot in Candlewood and Chris ‘s place is tough to beat. Can’t wait to go back.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful Candlewood Lake property! The house was spotless, and as someone who enjoys cooking and creating a beautiful dining experience, I was thrilled with the fully equipped kitchen. From an excellent selection of dinnerware and placemats to every type of beverage glass you could imagine, it had everything I needed.The views were simply spectacular—especially the sunsets—which we enjoyed from every vantage point: the dining room, family room, upper deck, poolside, and even the dock. The property easily accommodated our large family, and the additional guest houses were a fantastic bonus.We loved grilling on the deck and having multiple outdoor seating areas for al fresco meals. The landscaping was breathtaking and added to the sense of relaxation.The amenities were top-notch: basketball/paddleball court, putting green, kayaks, pool, and a safe, welcoming neighborhood perfect for morning or evening walks. Every detail made our stay comfortable, fun, and memorable. We can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful Vacation!

We used to live on Candlewood Lake and decided to rent a house for a revisit (and family get together). The house and owners are excellent. It has everything you would need and the owner is incredibly accommodating and responsive. Having the large kitchen and multiple decks made it so easy to entertain. The pool was just an added bonus and made relaxing even that much more enjoyable. It's easy to get to right off 84 and Lake Shore Drive. Definitely worth the time & money!

Perfect in every way!

If you love the lake, then this is the place to stay. Chris, the owner, is extremely accommodating and the description of the property is exactly as it is. The house is in the ideal cove perfect for swimming and the house is equipped with all of the necessary amenities. If you're looking to boat, kayak, or swim in the lake or pool, then rent this home! My family and extended family enjoyed an amazing five days in this home. I would highly recommend renting this home!

Just what we needed!

Just finished a great week at this property. Lake, pool and a house stocked with just about anything you could think of (Fridges everywhere, multiple ice machines, multiple dishwashers, new kitchen, towels, sunscreen. pool toys, sports equipment, bbq tools, you name it!). Chris (the owner) was available for any and all questions and advice. We had a great time!

This House is AMAZING!

We had a wonderful vacation on Candlewood Lake. This house is beautiful – large, clean, and very inviting. The views of the lake are amazing combined with a pool for cooling off in the afternoon. We rented a boat from Echo Bay Marina and had a great time buzzing around the lake as well as tubing and water skiing. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need! The kitchen is clean and well stocked, the family room is comfortable and cozy, and the bedrooms are extremely large. We loved having separate bathrooms for each bedroom. This house is truly amazing.

Simply awesome.

This home was better than advertised. The location on the lake is perfect and close to everything you need but we didn’t need to go anywhere - very rare to find something that has it all (pool, lake front, putting green, lots of deck space, fire pit, a nice grill, amazing sunsets, and the list goes on). The house itself has everything you need for any kind of group: we used the cabins which were great for overnight guests, ice machines, dishwashers, high-end kitchen if you like to cook (which we did), great recommendations for caters if you prefer not to (which we also did), music throughout the house via the easily accessible wifi sound system, and plenty of seating. We barely touched the AC with the breeze blowing through all week. Couldn’t have asked for a better host who was super welcoming and attentive to ensuring we had a great stay in his wonderful home. Definitely recommend.

Perfect Family Vacation

This is the perfect place for a family vacation, lots of room and plenty of activities! Awesome to be right on the lake, rent a boat down the street and pick up the family on the dock. Chris was so welcoming and responsive making the stay even better.

Beautiful House & Tremendous location !!!!!

Chris's house was fantastic !!! He was extremely responsive to any questions during our entire process ...the open area ( kitchen,dining & living room ) had spectacular views of the lake and the entire family was able to gather and have fun cooking in the gourmet kitchen . The decks outside and the sitting arrangements were wonderful . There was more than enough space to cook ( great Weber grill ) sit , eat and just enjoy the lake view . The downstaires was perfect for watching DVD's or bring your Apple stick and turn it into a comfortable movie theatre . The bar located there had a wine/soda cooler , dishwasher & ice maker !!!!! That was very convenient and helpful. The bedrooms were comfortable with quality mattresses and the " secret " room was a very cool feature. There were plenty of bathrooms for our group of 9 as well as enough room without getting crowded . The kitchen had two dishwashers , a large gas stove and two sinks plus those great views ...... we rented a couple of boats from the marina only a couple of miles away and enjoyed a couple days on the lake which is a perfect size for sight seeing, fishing or just cruising around . We used the dock at the house for swimming & the grandsons caught several fish and had a great time . The fire pit down at the water was used for toasting marshmallows and watching the sun go down in the evenings . Finally, the house is conveniently located close by to shopping , food shopping and the Danbury mall .

Great lake getaway

This property was amazing and had something for everyone from lake activity to getting some sun pool side. The views are amazing and if you need a break from the lake there's tons of shopping 10 minutes away. We had a great time and will go back. The Miners

Summer Escape to Candlewood Lake

I can't say enough wonderful things about Chris and our weeklong experience at his GORGEOUS home. From the beautiful views to the lake, pool, beach, fire pits (all private), it was absolutely perfect. Chris was extremely helpful and timely in his responses to our texts/calls and he was gracious enough to leave us a beautiful gift basket when we arrived. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation. Thank you Chris, we'll be back!

This property is much more than the description

This property is everything described and 100% more because the owner is 100% engaged, immediately responsive to the most simple request and wants your experience to be the best he can deliver; he genuinely wants your stay to be second to none ! When our daughter decided to have her wedding reception at The Candlewood Inn, we wanted a place for the family to gather and for her to get dressed in her gown. This was the perfect spot. The landscaped grounds were spectacular and were ideal for pictures and videos. We made some fabulous memories. Weather your requirements are for a formal occasion or a simple weeks vacation you will not find a more beautiful, relaxing spot on Lake Candlewood. Thanks Chris for a memorable experience! P.S. The bass were biting and a good size !
