Beautiful Villa

Our group of five adults loved this home. Beautifully designed with much attention to details. The pool was amazing, and the sunset views were spectacular from the balcony. The villa was in a great and convienent location. We would definitely visit again. We fell in love with Curaçao!

Charming House in a Prime Location with a Gorgeous Pool!

I recently stayed at this beautiful house and had a wonderful experience. Here are some of the highlights: Pros: -Beautiful House: The house itself is stunning, with a charming design and well-maintained interiors. -Comfortable Beds: The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep. -Location!!!: The location is fantastic, offering easy access to local attractions and amenities. -Beautiful Pool: The pool was a highlight of our stay, providing a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Cons: -Mosquitos: There were quite a few mosquitos around, which was a bit of a nuisance. -Slippery Floor Near the Outdoor Shower: The floor near the outdoor shower was slippery, and a few members of our party slipped. Be careful in this area. -Lack of Pillows: There weren’t enough pillows provided, bring your own if you need to sleep with multiple.

Perfect spot for a friends getaway!

It was the most perfect getaway villa for the 5 of us (all women and long time friends that travel often together.) The living space was exceptional. Very airy and bright and beautifully decorated. We appreciated the separate sleeping quarters and the rooms were spacious, comfortable and individually decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed. (We love to cook.) And the views from the upper living area were spectacular — particularly at sunset. And of course the pool was perfect. We spent a lot of time in the pool! It’s an easy walk to Jan Thiel beach, but we didn’t spend any time there during the day as we found it too crowded. For dinner at night however, there are some great options at the beach with a low key vibe. We had one small issue with a toaster that kept flipping the breaker, but that was quickly addressed. A new toaster was brought and we didn’t have any further issues. Loved our stay. Glad we chose this villa for our headquarters for our first time to Curaçao.

Fantastic!

We were a 3 generation family of 10 travelling to Curacao. We had a blend of 5 adults, 3 toddlers, a pre-teen and a teenager. There was plenty of space for everyone! My husband is an architect and very snobbish about design. This property was beautifully designed by the architect and interior designer. Everything is updated and fresh looking. Very little wear-and-tear. The Jan Thiel beach is a close walk with excellent dining options. We were able to fit 2 small SUV cars into driveway and there is curb street parking. A high end grocery is nearby if you are walking but a more affordable/bulk option is down the road (Best Buy Grocery). We travelled much of the countryside and saw many wonderful beaches. Cas Abao was worth the 45 minute drive. Jan Thiel is lovely too but smaller so you must arrive early to get chairs in the shade. We felt very secure in this property but we followed the rules and used proper caution with locking up and alarming. The owners and property manager were very responsive. The neighbours were very quiet (even though our toddlers and teens were not sometimes - oy). Parties were far and few between except on the weekends. Scuba diving off East and West was fantastic but we recommend doing boat dives. The shore dives have much wear and tear since I was last in Curacao. Overall, Hakuna Matata was fabulous! The whole property felt very civilized with many modern comforts and we loved our stay. We would highly recommend!

Amazing vacation

We stayed at Hakuna Matata from March 31 to April 7 2019. We were 2 adults and 5 children and enjoyed every minute of our trip. This is a beautiful, clean and comfortable villa, a must if you're traveling to Jan Thiel. It was so beautiful and comfortable we had a hard time getting the kids to leave. It looks identical to the pictures online, no surprises. There is nothing negative to say. The owner and property managers were quick at responding, polite, kind and helpful. You can't go wrong with selecting this beautiful, comfortable and professionally decorated villa. We hope to stay there again in the near future. Thank you Pascale and Michel for an amazing and memorable family vacation!
