About this property

Charming cottage on Basin Cove just a short drive to the Dolphin Marina

Welcome to Tidewatch!

Tidewatch is a lovely 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage located on beautiful Basin Cove. Enjoy the deck, on the edge of the water, with an outdoor dining table and chairs. As you enter the house into the spacious family room complete with many board games, there is a bedroom to your right with a set of twin beds. As you continue on you will enter the galley-style kitchen, with plenty of space to cook your lobster feast. An open dining and living area with walls of windows and sliders will bring the outdoors in with beautiful water views. A full bathroom and bedroom with a queen bed are just around the corner.

Although this property is tidal, enjoy being able to swim or bring your own kayak to launch right from the property at high tide. Just a quick ride down the road brings you to the Dolphin Marina and Restaurant - allow yourself to indulge in their famous haddock chowder before taking a tour to Eagle Island for the day. Erica's Seafood is also down the road. The Curtis Cove walking trail just a short walk from the cottage. Stovers Beach is about a 5-minute car ride away, great for beachcombing, kayaking, and swimming. There is even a lagoon area at high tide perfect for little kids.

Cute!
This place is super cute. The water does smell a bit like the ocean but they do provide separate drinking water and the tide does go in and out - the title of the property is fitting. Overall this was a cute place to stay with a lovely view - be careful backing out of the driveway though, people zoom down that road.

Very peaceful stay
Very quiet and peaceful by the Cove. Was nice to see the tide come in and out. Lots of local information available. The cottage was nice and clean and easy to find.

No water
Main problem was running out of water. Not until we arrived were we warned about low water in the well, so one shower per day for one of us. when the water did work it smelled like a swamp. Also, don't be fooled by the pictures of the inlet. Only at high tide are you not looking out at 300 yards of mud. Those stairs that imply that they lead to the beach actually lead to a jungle of eelgrass and junk. We have been renting on this site for over 20 years and this is the first time that we left two nights early in order to return to civilization.

Nicely appointed house.
House had everything you would need. Lots of living space. Bed was the best "rental" I've ever been in. So comfortable! Only downside would be the tight parking and the tight shower (but the hot water and water pressure was awesome!)
