Summary:
A walkers paradise in the Peak District National Park with popular traffic free cycle trails, a big hit for anyone wanting a relaxing day exploring on two wheels, and there are plenty of cycle hire shops nearby if you don't want to bring your own. The property is within easy reach of the gorgeous country houses of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall which are ideal for whiling away an afternoon. Crich Tramway village lets you enjoy unlimited tram rides in a recreated village street and is great on rainy days. Please be aware, this property is not suitable for children under 10.
The Space:
Stepping into the cottage and turn right into the cosy lounge with comfortable seating, feature fireplace with wood burner which is made for curling up in front of with a good book and a cup of tea after a day walking the hills.
Moving through to the dining kitchen which is bright and airy and provides a lovely space for a celebration dinner. If you don't fancy trying the nearby eateries, why not cook at home and make the most of the facilities which include electric oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine.
To the first floor you will find two bedrooms, one double bedroom and bedroom two with two single beds which share the family bathroom with a shower over the bath.
Outside the cottage is a courtyard area with a table and chairs to sit out and enjoy the summer sun.

Guest have access to the whole property for the duration of their stay. Access details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.

There is one parking space directly to the left of the cottage and on street parking.

Matlock is well-served by public transport, making it easy to explore the town and the surrounding areas. Matlock is connected to the national rail network via Matlock Railway Station, which is located just a short walk from the town centre. The station is served by East Midlands Railway and provides direct services to several destinations in the region including Derby, Nottingham and Manchester. Alternatively, you can explore on one of the more scenic train journeys, including the Peak Rail heritage railway. Via steam train, the service runs between Matlock and Rowsley offering stunning views on the full journey.
