This striking property provides views over the courtyard on one side of the property, and views over established woodland on the other. The property is ideal for families and groups of friends. Enjoy the tranquillity of this "get away from it all" country retreat. The Coach House is a generous, split-level property that provides very comfortable accommodation for six people.
Entry is from the courtyard itself. The double bedroom has a newly fitted, sizeable en-suite shower room. Two twin bedrooms share a newly fitted family bathroom. Through a double width landing, and down a short flight of wooden stairs, the fantastic open plan living space is set out before you with four large conservation skylights above and double doors in front of you, opening onto the private patio.
The living area is huge with large, comfortable sofas, enough to seat eight comfortably. A wood burner keeps things cosy on winter nights. The open plan kitchen and dining area is a great space to entertain friends and family. The kitchen is fully equipped and has fantastic views onto the pretty, walled garden in front of you – the ideal play area for toddlers. Luxury cotton towels are provided for all guests and for your entertainment there is a Smart TV, and a selection of books, games, and children’s toys.
You also have your own private patio area, perfect for dining outdoors on a warm evening. The hot tub can be added as an optional extra, and a barbecue is available on request. Larger communal gardens spread out to the left of the house, which lead onto a huge outdoor space with children’s play area, football pitch, and stunning views of the countryside. This cottage is a rural retreat ideally suited to young families.
Enjoy walks and cycle rides from the door, with easy access to the neighbouring village shop, restaurants, and pubs. You will find local pubs within 2 miles of the estate or an 8-minute drive away. You could take a walk or drive 1 ½ miles to Wyken Vineyards, to browse in their lovely shop, buy some Wyken wine, or sample local produce from the Saturday Farmer’s Market. For children, there are animals in the meadow (including llamas) and a woodland walk (open April-September).
The historic market town of Bury St Edmunds is nearby where you can walk through the beautiful Abbey Gardens, with the remains of the 11th century abbey, plus a lovely playground and ducks a plenty to feed. Explore the market square (market days on Wednesdays and Saturdays) or take a tour round the Greene King Brewery (every day, varying times). Lavenham is a 35-minute drive away, famous for its wealth as a medieval wool town, with over 300 listed buildings and huge church tower - guide yourself on a fabulous walk of the town and discover the leaning houses and many other treats.
