Cheviot Luxury Lodge is a modern 3-bedroom 2-bathroom lodge with a wonderful sunken hot tub ready and waiting your arrival, ideal for families, couples or friends to enjoy some special times together. The lodge has a great seating area ideal for socialising. This friendly park has an on-site restaurant and café and a children’s play area set in this 40-acre country park with a small lake with resident swans and wildlife. Take an evening stroll then perhaps something to eat on-site, or take a few minutes’ drive to one of the many restaurants and pubs nearby. Located close to the A1 yet you feel like you are on a country retreat.
Children will love the Northumberland Zoo which is only half a mile away, or within walking distance for those who enjoy walking. Burgham Park Golf course is only half a mile ideal for the golfers in the family. Warkworth is a lovely village with a hillside castle, bespoke shops and little cafes. Nearby Alnwick is home to the Duke and Duchess where you can visit the majestic castle used in some Harry Potter scenes, perhaps have a broomstick lesson (in season) or visit the Duchess’s enchanting water gardens then meander the streets soaking up the history.
Nearby Morpeth is a very pretty, historic market town with some wonderful bars and restaurants and an Edwardian Shopping Arcade to explore as well as river boats down on the River Wansbeck. Nearby Felton has an award-winning café and a friendly pub serving food and drinks. Set close to the A1 means you can travel in all directions going somewhere different every day. Have a day over at Hadrian’s Wall exploring in the Roman Forts and glorious countryside, or perhaps a day trip to the Dark Sky International National park would appeal, or maybe even some retail therapy in Newcastle where you can enjoy the Quayside and culture of the streets and buildings.
