Escape to our cosy Peak District cottage, perfect for families & dogs! This retreat comfortably sleeps 8, featuring a log burner to snuggle up by after exploring the area
Enjoy the stunning surroundings & unwind in our spacious garden. With 3 pubs, cafes & village shops just a short stroll away. Whether hiking the picturesque trails or relaxing in style, our cottage offers the ideal getaway for creating lasting memories.

Our property offers the perfect blend of comfort and convenience – whether you’re here to explore the beautiful surroundings, enjoy a peaceful retreat, or spend quality time with loved ones.
Step inside Dene Cottage and experience a charming blend of traditional character and modern comfort, ideally located for exploring the beautiful town of Bakewell and the surrounding countryside.
- Ground Floor - Kitchen & Dining -
The traditional kitchen is fully equipped for your stay, and the dining area comfortably seats six - perfect for relaxed meals with family or friends. From here, just climb five steps to the next level.
- Living Room & Twin Bedroom -
The spacious lounge features a cosy log burner and plenty of comfortable seating for up to eight guests.
Large windows overlook the patio and private garden, creating a peaceful atmosphere. Just off the lounge is a twin bedroom, ideal for guests who prefer to stay close to the main living area.
- First Floor & Master Suite -
The master bedroom offers a beautiful four-poster bed, a built-in wardrobe, and lovely garden views. The large ensuite bathroom includes a claw-foot roll-top bath, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.
- Second Floor - Additional Bedrooms & Shower Room -
Upstairs, you’ll find a modern shower room with a separate WC.
There’s a cosy single bedroom with a daybed and a pop-up trundle bed that can be added to the twin room below if needed. This room shares wardrobe space with the next bedroom, which features a flexible zip-and-link bed that can be configured as either twins or a superking.
Just let us know your preference when booking. This bedroom also has a large built-in wardrobe.

Enjoy the private garden, which is a suntrap throughout most of the year—ideal for outdoor dining or relaxing. Parking is available on the road outside the property.

Youlgrave stands on a limestone shelf above the confluence of Lathkill Dale and Bradford Dale, with the crystal-clear rivers running through the valleys below.
The wide grassy banks of the River Bradford make a perfect picnicking spot.
Being extremely close to the ever popular town of Bakewell makes Youlgrave a more serene spot to take a break.
We have 3 very popular food serving pubs in the village. All in walking distance from Dene Cottage.
A local shop that has all the essentials and options for a tea or coffee after a long walk in the hills.
