As one of the less well-known villages in the area, this wonderful little settlement offers a quiet location off the beaten track and away from the crowds. With the towns of Settle, Kirkby Lonsdale, Skipton and Kendal all close by, Austwick provides peace and quiet without leaving you feeling marooned.

We had a perfect week staying in this property in the lovely little village of Austwick. It was so quiet and peaceful, with a great pub 30 seconds away and a great base for walking. The property itself was immaculate, nicely decorated, well-equipped and had an open fire which we used every night. Definitely recommend staying here!
P.S. make sure you pop down to the local shop just 1min walk away, it stocks everything you could need and is run by a lovely couple. You can preorder freshly baked pastries and bread to collect in the mornings.
