Frayed and faded
Faded and fraying.
Having paid the premium rate for a week in August we were at least expecting clean well appointed accommodation. All the comments I will make have been mentioned in previous reviews and I am not sure that the owner will take any action to remedy the faults.
The directions to the accommodation were adequate but could be a little better. On arrival there was a musty smell of damp, I appreciate that the building is old but it has been renovated and surely something could be done. The damp was not helped as there was no place to dry wet clothing.
The carpet was dirty in places and very frayed at the front door which was covered by a doormat, there was dust on many surfaces which had been there for some time and we found a pair of ladies briefs behind the armchair. The toilet brush was old and rusty and food wrappings and containers were found tucked into the sofa.
On the positive side, the accommodation was very well located near the town centre and harbour.
