Tucked away in this eclectic seaside town, with 18 century buildings and networks of quiet pedestrian lanes, Abbey Stables is a stone’s throw from the Art Deco salt water sea baths, sea front promenade and Morrab sub tropical gardens. Also within a 5 minute walk there are art galleries and over 25 pubs, restaurants, bars and cafes.
The unique 17th century building has recently been renovated to exacting standards offering spacious, stylish and characterful accommodation for 2 and looks onto its own tranquil cobbled courtyard garden.
Enter via a stylish country modern kitchen, with solid oak worktops, cream units, breakfast bar and comprehensive cooking amenities.
Up a couple of steps into the attractive beamed living/dining area. The romantic ambiance is enhanced by spot lit local art, feature fireplace, exposed granite walls, deep slate window cill and painted floors. There is a 32" HD TV, DVD player, quality sound system for TV & music (bluetooth & CDs) and a choice of books & games. The dining table is beside a stable door which opens onto the garden.
Pass into the cosy beamed bedroom, through a door with stained glass panel, which is painted in restful colours and has a king size bed with padded headboard.
The shower room has a travertine floor and tongue and groove paneled walls and features a hydro-shower booth, with monsoon shower head, massage jets and radio. There is also a basin, toilet and heated towel rail.
Outside there is an attractive courtyard garden for alfresco dining.
All feels charming and luxurious.
