Aloha! Welcome to our little piece of PARADISE! Our new custom built cabinets and island for food preparation were just competed July 2024.
If you love the feeling of being at home while you are on vacation, this is the place to be! Nothing better than staying in a location that is close to town, walkable to lots of restaurants, cocktails, and snorkel/swimming beaches. We welcome you to our "HOME AWAY FROM HOME". Our unit is on the 1st floor.
This unit is a vacation rental only. IT IS A NON-SMOKING property, INSIDE AND OUT.
Guests have full access to everything in the condo (with the exception, of anything stored and marked "Owners" ). The pool is at the oceanfront, and the BBQ Is located just above the pool area. You must buy your own charcoal. There is also a gated entry to the ocean for snorkeling.
Our condo has a Ring doorbell/camera at the front door for your security to make sure no one enters other than the renter. However, in the 25 years that we have owned our unit, we have never had a break-in to our unit. Feel safe!

INTERACTION WITH GUESTS

I always make contact with the guests before renting. Also, once they arrive, just to make sure everything is to their liking and there are no questions.

We co-own this condo with lifetime friends. We come from honest backgrounds. Professionally, the men were high school and college educators. I was an Investigator/ Peace Officer for the State of California and the other owner worked in the jewelry business and accounting. We respect and wish to have others respect our " HOME AWAY FROM HOME"!
Our lovely condo is well maintained for our guests. Please see our reviews! We have a partial ocean view from our lanai. We are just a 15-minute walk to the downtown area, with several restaurants, snorkeling beaches, and wonderful sunsets on the way for your evening walk.
Our fast secure WIFI, BEACH TOWELS, UMBRELLA, COOLER, and BEACH CHAIRS are there for your use. FREE parking is right behind the condo with only steps to our unit.
We also provide BATH SOAP, a HAIR DRYER, HAND MIRROR, IRONING BOARD and extras in the kitchen such as PAPER TOWELS and DISH SOAP. We do not provide coffee. We have a Keurig 1 pod coffee maker as well as a Mr. Coffee maker, in case you prefer to use ground coffee. Many guests leave behind, foil, saran wrap and sandwich bags. You may use them and we hope that you will be courteous and leave some behind for others to use as well.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Turn off all fans. The Lanai has 4 speeds. Make sure all stove burners are OFF
Place the beach chairs back into the closet, after you have cleaned off all sand.
Hang towels over the shower and towels racks.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Great condo located very close to Kona in a quiet and clean property. Unit has everything you need for an extended stay. Great communication with host, and the nightly sunsets from the pool were awesome!

This condo is a very clean and comfortable place for a couple to stay! It is a convenient location to explore town or as a base to explore the wider island. Sitting by the pool, looking out over the ocean, and listening to the waves breaking on the shore is a must! The lanai is a great place to drink coffee before starting your day! The host is thoughtful and very communicative. We had no trouble prior to or during our stay.

Hawaii Vacation

We came to Hawaii for our anniversary and had a great time. We loved the pool swim each morning and then off to a beach of our choice. We came back around dusk each night and cooked our dinner. It was quiet and relaxing.

We loved our stay at this little condo - beautiful sunrises and sunsets right from the lanai; communicative host; close to amenities without being right in the middle of things (which we prefer - I know not everyone does).

Great place on the shore with Kona in walking distance

Ideal place at Kona Coast for visitors of Ironman Event. Marathon course passes directly by the Kona Shore Estates. Also a great place to start tours around Big Island. Host is super friendly and always reachable (phone, e-mail).

My wife & I absolutely loved staying here! It was perfect for us. The condo is stocked with everything you could need to make your vacation relaxing and comfortable. You can tell people really live here which makes it so comfortable to be in. Great location. Small but enough space for two. Lots of beach toys available. Wish we could have stayed here the whole trip

Kona vacation

Great location to begin our first island hopping trip to the islands. Close to beaches and restaurants, quiet and peaceful apartment. Great communication with owner who made check in a breeze. Would love to come back and enjoy this rental in the future.

The host was very responsive and provided excellent detail. The check in and check out process was very easy and efficient. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. It was perfect for the two of us. If we ever visit that area again, I would have no problem staying here again.

Wonderful property

Perfect stay! Condo was so clean!! We enjoyed our stay immensely. We had everything we needed and more. Pool was great with a fantastic view - watched spinner dolphins every morning! One of our best vacations!

The condo met all our needs. Loved eating our meals on the private lanai as the sunset. We were able to see lots of whales and dolphins from the beautiful pool. Kona is a quaint town and within walking distance. We spent an amazing month here enjoying all the big island has to offer. I can't say enough about the condo and Hawaii!! Loved it!!

Totally Awesome

Clean cozy studio w ocean view perfect for a couple

Very cozy clean studio w comfortable king bed and ocean view for 6 night stay, short drive to Kona town, building pool is beautiful overlooking ocean, coffee shop next door, laundry room very convenient, ceiling fans help w heat, overall safe and cozy complex. Beach chairs & umbrella were provided, very kind. Unit could benefit from having a dehumidifier, meat thermometer, steak knives, tea kettle-a/c window unit is a little loud to sleep with & needs a cleaning-cars park on both sides of unit so anticipate some activity from headlights & noise plus busy walkway out front due to laundry room.

The condo was furnished nicely. Can't think of anything else we needed. King size bed was comfortable and appreciated. Location was good and loved that we had a little Ocean View from the condo. Had a relaxing time sitting on the patio reading and looking at the Ocean. Enjoyed the pool area that was right on the Ocean! We sat out there and read and watched and listened to the waves, so soothing and relaxing. The location is handy to shopping and most anything you would want to do in the Kona area. A couple things we would have liked would have been a washer & dryer in the unit, even though the laundry room was close by. A couple of gas barbecues would be nice and the refrigerator doors opening the other way would be much handier for loading and unloading food. That being said, we had a great time at the condo! Cozy little condo in a great location.

Condo is perfect for a couple. Comfy king bed. It was a bit soft for my liking but still very nice mattress & bedding. Had pretty much everything we needed for our week long trip. AC was nice for cooling off the unit quickly after returning from our adventures but we could turn it off after a few minutes once the winds were able to blow through the slat windows. Judy doesn’t live on-site but still reached out to us before the trip, followed up with us after our arrival, and made sure to be available in the event we should need anything during our stay. Top notch customer service. Our only complaint was with the lack of privacy. However, this is the case for pretty much every ground floor condo/hotel/apartment. We could have shut all the windows and left the AC running but that’s not why we’re Hawaii, right? All said, I’m sure we’ll look into booking this unit again on our next trip to the big island.

Nice condo, quiet complex, a lot of kitchen supplies, keurig coffee machine, clean, spacious, cosy, good working airco to keep it fresh, nice terras, bedroom can be separated from living room. Easy parking, easy laundry & drying (pay via app), small but cosy pool, ocean breeze while suntanning. No curtains/blinds to keep out the sun, but nothing a sleeping mask cant solve.

A great location off Ali’i with a view of the ocean from the lanai that was perfect for breakfast and coffee. The kitchen has what you need with space to make meals. The beach chairs and umbrellas are handy and fit into a car trunk for easy transport to nearby beaches. Overall, an excellent spot for a couple of people. Judy is extremely responsive to inquiries and works to make the stay easier and more enjoyable.

Renters BEWARE- READ FIRST1. Upon leaving the unit I video taped how I left the condo. The owner has since charged me for "sopping wet clothing on floor, left very untidy". I sent the owner a screenshot and a video of the bathroom tile floor (where Judy claims we left the clothes) - there are only towels on the floor. All of our clothes are accounted for. See attached photo - there are no clothes. Judy refuses to drop the additional fee. 2. Judy claims we left the condo "untidy". I have sent her a video of how we left the kitchen. Of course, I left the kitchen clean and tidy - Judy did not acknowledge her "untidy" status of the clean kitchen. See attached images3. I have tried to work with Judy over this additional fee, especially since I video recorded our departure, which is date and time stamped, but she refuses. Therefore, others should know what/who they are renting from. See attached image where Judy writes to me and accuses "ghosts" of these crimes. 4. This is NOT a one bedroom unit. This is a studio with a frosted plastic divider screen that can be pulled out. A one bedroom denotes a forth bedroom wall and a door, not a plastic divider. (see attached image) 5. The sunset view from the Lanai is misleading. The view from the Lanai in reality is of a big hedge, a parking lot, two other condo buildings and then a sliver between the condos of the ocean. (see attached image)6. Renters - Know what you are getting into before booking.
This is a TRUE image of the ocean (and possible) sunset view. The sun did NOT set between the other condos at the end of July, FYI. Don't be fooled by write-ups and photos. This view is accurate.

Nice location and a clean property!

My husband and I had a great time at the Big island. This property is very clean and the location is quite convenient. We walked to town everyday and it was nice.

We had visited the other islands for a few years and loved them all. Once we visited the Big Island, we loved the diversity of the island. The Big Island is true 'OLD HAWAII'.

We strive to constantly update our condo to make your stay pleasant. Cleanliness is very important to us. We have both view sitting with a table and low padded chairs on our lanai for your comfort.
