Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It is a little bit far away from that I have to walk 40mins to the middle of town if I have no car.A lot of small ants appear on the ground which make me uncomfortable. The other conditions of this property are acceptable.

The property's location is accurately represented in our listing, and while downtown Kailua-Kona is certainly walkable for some guests, we always recommend having a rental car when visiting the Big Island, as attractions, restaurants, beaches, and activities are spread out. Regarding the small ants, Hawaiʻi's tropical climate means that occasional insects are a natural part of island living, even in properties that receive regular pest control treatments. We wish you had brought this to our attention during your stay so our team could have promptly addressed the concern and arranged additional treatment if necessary. The room was clean, the kitchen had everything that we needed, the bed was comfortable, coin op washers and dryers were nearby. We needed to call to get an updated wifi password - the parking information that we were given was incorrect and caused a bit of a stir. When texted Knutson for help, answers were prompt. Quiet time beginning 8pm is expected.

Everything was pictured and described as it was online. We had a late flight so when we arrived, we spotted a few cockroaches in the unit (Kona does have a tropical climate so it something to expect and be aware of) which did make us a little uncomfortable to sleep the rest of the night however we no longer spotted them the next day going forward for the rest of our trip. My partner and I stayed there for 6 nights and communication with the host was excellent. Every time we had a question or concern, we received a timely response and the matter was resolved quickly! There were issues with the upstairs unit making a lot of noises but that had nothing to do with the host, just something to keep in mind. There was also an instance where a car was parked in our spot during one of our days there but that was resolved quickly as well. We would recommend this unit as the host does a great job with making sure we are taken care of! The location is also great as it was nearby everything we wanted to do!

Nice clean room, space was adequately equipped had enough pots pans and dishes to do cooking when we needed to. Host did pretty well at communication, letting us know that we needed to sign online documents before check in. They did send the wrong wifi password but we found the correct one on a placard in the unit so that was a minor inconvenience and not a big deal. Would definitely consider staying here again.
