The bedrooms consist of a double and a twin serviced by a ground-floor shower room. Outside there is a garden with lawn and furniture, and off-road parking for two cars. Within 3.2 miles, you will find a shop, within 3.1 miles, a pub, and within 1.3 miles, a river. Please note that this is a non-smoking property. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Great Torrington is an unspoilt town built on high ground above the River Torridge, and is a fifteen-minute drive from the spectacular North Devon coast at Westward Ho!. A leading tourist attraction is Dartington Crystal where visitors can see craftsmen blowing and shaping glass, follow the history of glassmaking and buy some beautiful pieces. The town has a good selection of individual shops, a friendly atmosphere, and some good inns. About a mile from Great Torrington is the spectacular RHS garden at Rosemoor, splendid with colourful roses in summer and in a breathtaking setting by the River Torridge. There are many villages to visit on the North Devon coast including picturesque Clovelly built on a steep hillside above the sea, Westward Ho! with fabulous sandy beaches and Hartland village with narrow streets, village square and Hartland Point with breathtaking sea and coastal views. Great Torrington is a quiet, convenient base from which to explore North Devon, the Tarka Trail and the rolling Devon landscapes.
