Plus points: spacious, clean, private, comfortable, next to lovely wood walks. Negative points: although hidden by trees, located right by A9 and Inverness Trainline, it is very noisy if windows open from early morning to late at night especially on weekdays with commercial traffic. By far the poorest property I’ve ever booked for basics. I was ashamed for Scotland, as a Scot, because of the meanness of the welcoming basics: no salt, a couple of grinds of pepper, no kitchen roll ( despite website entry) no cooking basics or coffee or sugar. There were a few tea bags and 1/4 inch of washing up liquid left. Everywhere I have booked for many years across the UK, has not only had more than the basics provided but frequently a lovely welcome pack with some treats. These generate a welcoming feeling we remember. For those visiting Scotland, I apologise. This venue shows a mean spirited approach which is not what we as Scots are.
