We booked this property a couple of months in advance for eight friends celebrating a 50th birthday and stayed for three nights.From the moment we booked, the host was fantastic. Communication was excellent throughout, with very quick responses to every question. Before our stay I asked if there was a BBQ, and the host kindly bought a brand new one, which was waiting for us on arrival – a really thoughtful touch.The house is in a convenient location, just off the main road, opposite a 24-hour petrol station and close to Angel’s Café, where we had breakfast. Cheltenham is around a 20-minute taxi ride away, making it ideal for evenings out.The property is a little dated but spacious and comfortably accommodated our group. The indoor pool and jacuzzi were great, the kitchen was well equipped, there was plenty of seating, a large driveway and a good-sized garden.We had a couple of minor issues during our stay, but the host responded immediately. Our only real criticism was the TV setup, as there is no aerial and the remotes didn’t work, so we had to control the TVs via a phone app. This was a little frustrating as we wanted to watch the World Cup.Overall, it’s a great place for a family or friends’ get-together, and the host’s responsiveness really stood out. We’d happily recommend it.
