Just a short 3-5 minute drive to Perdido Key's public beach access #1 for white sand beaches and beautiful blue water. Tropical Therapy is an Upstairs bungalow with a charming loft that's perfect for an additional space if you need to sleep 4. Purple Parrot fans love these secret rooms that are only accessible by a ladder (as shown in our PKRM photo gallery). Not every upstairs unit has a sleeping loft, but the ones that do are in high demand and typically get terrific reviews! Tropical Therapy has a wonderful secluded vibe and backs up to a nature-filled greenspace. Charcoal grills are out front, so plan to cook out at least once. Relaxing on the screened front porch is practically required at Purple Parrot. This unit is tastefully decorated throughout and guests feel right at home when they walk in the front door of this charming 2 story coastal cottage. The light, bright kitchen has granite countertops and modern appliances. It is fully equipped for preparing snacks and meals, but we hope you have a chance to try one of the many popular local restaurants. The primary bedroom offers a King sized bed. There are also two twin beds in the loft. The living room has a flat screen TV and wireless internet is included throughout the condo. Guests are allowed 2 parking passes for general parking.
There is shopping, restaurants, food trucks and attractions available in Perdido Key, with even more things to enjoy just a short drive away in Orange Beach and/or Downtown Pensacola. PKRM offers exclusive expeditions that add real value to a vacation. Once a reservation is confirmed, guests can book a dolphin or sunset cruise, deep sea fishing, golf at Lost Key or Soldier's Creek, or even admission to OWA Amusement Park. There is a lot to do and see in this laid-back, small beach community, but the most popular attraction is indisputably the azure colored water of the Gulf of Mexico with squeaky-clean white sand beaches just a short half mile away. The amazing Gulf Islands National Seashore is only a hop, skip and jump away from the gated entrance to the resort. Johnson Beach is an amazing 8 mile stretch of pristine, undeveloped beach to enjoy. However, if you want a break from the salt and sand, you can enjoy some serious float therapy in oasis style pool. Check the schedule for live music performances at the resort's much-loved tiki bar. There is also a heated indoor pool, hot tub, exercise room, and beach volleyball courts available for guests. A fantastic vacation is waiting and we want your stay to be a fantastic vacation!

Tropical Therapy was the perfect getaway for my wife and two kids. Thisbwas our first time staying here and won't be the last. The property itself was beautiful and cozy. The pool and tiki bar, that had live entertainment every single night, was perfect for relaxing in the evenings. The beach is only a short drive away, making it easy to enjoy a full day by the Gulf and still have plenty of time to come back and relax in the peaceful atmosphere of the condo. A truly ideal location, we can't recommend Tropical Therapy enough and are already looking forward to our next visit.

Quiet corner

This was a nice condo at the back of the property away from the noise and other guests. But it was also a little far away from any parking which made it inconvenient for moving in & out and bringing in groceries. Highly recommend Johnson Beach!

Everything was easy! We didn’t have any problems with checking in or out. The place we stayed was clean and quiet with easy access to the pool and a short drive to Johnson’s Beach! This the second time we stayed at the Purple Parrot both times were great! We will be back!! 5 ⭐️

Property was very nice and as pictured. Condo was clean and everything was in working order. Nicely decorated and the kids really enjoyed the loft. The only issues were that the TV in the bedroom would not connect to the internet and the king size bed was as hard as a rock. The bed was so hard, that I would not rent this particular condo again. Neither my husband or I got a good night's sleep for the duration of our stay.

Memorial Day Long Weekend

My husband and I have seen this resort area on previous trips and decided to try it out this time and avoid that whole beach traffic. We were happy with our choice. Loved the live music each night. The condo had what we needed and was clean. The pool was beautiful. We have stayed at other places that used the same property management company and they have always been great to work with. Everything organized. We enjoyed our time at Purple Parrot.

We will be back!

My husband and I brought our youngest child for a short get-a-way with her and stayed 3 days. We loved the pool and beaches. The staff were friendly, very accommodating, and the property was clean and just as cute as the photos. We will definitely be back. Next time, we will choose a ground-floor unit due to the steep staircase in and out. It made me nervous (especially when wet from rain) for my young daughter. Thank you for a great vacation!

Didn’t have any problems, just the screen on the front deck still hasn’t been repaired, but after a hurricane, let’s get our priorities straight! Everything was great, didn’t use the kitchen per say, but saw that it was well stocked with utensils, pots, glasses etc. Would definitely stay there again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My kids and I enjoyed our stay at Purple Parrot Village. Even though it is undergoing construction, we felt safe and had a great time. There are a few things I wish we had known on the front end. The building we stayed in was very far away from the parking area. There was no cart, so we would have brought one if we had known that. Or perhaps one could have been provided. The kitchen was lacking in some necessities - bowls, measuring cups, kids plates/cups/bowls. Also, there are no spices, salt/pepper, coffee filters, so we needed to bring literally everything. All in all, we had a good time and would return to Purple Parrot. We might select a different unit, but this one was super fun for my kiddos with the twin beds in the loft.

Wifi was reliable which was a must for this stay. The pool was clean and roomy. Tiki Bar was fun. We enjoyed the live entertainment. I was disappointed that the fitness room was closed. There was some construction during our stay but it was not an issue. This would be a great place for family gatherings. It would be perfect if there was a playground and tennis courts.

This property was nice and clean and we enjoyed our stay. Construction was going on, so finding nearby parking spots was challenging. The Ayer hours check in was also challenging and we were assigned the wrong unit, They gave us an emergency number to call, and office made adjustments pretty quickly. I would recommend checking in when office is open.

Reviewer Comments: We recently stayed at the Perdido Key Resort, Tropical Therapy unit. Upon check in, at 3:30, the lady at the front desk indicated the unit wasn’t ready and check in was not until 4pm and the unit was in process of being cleaned for our stay. No problem as I knew we had arrived a little early. We took advantage and did some shopping at the local stores. When we returned to check in a little after 4, another person I spoke to said the unit still wasn’t ready as they were finishing up cleaning. I asked how much longer and they said 15 minutes as check in was from 4-6 pm even though the information I received indicated check in was at 4. We finally get to the unit at 5:20pm and nothing had been cleaned. Trash still in trash cans, dirty bed linens and towels on the floor in the bathroom from previous guests. So they told me it was being cleaned and in reality nothing had been done. I contacted the front desk and let them know the state of the unit and wanted it fixed immediately. Good news is a cleaning crew was there in about 10 minutes. Sow we sat awkwardly while the unit was being cleaned. This was definitely the worst part of the stay. Parking was very limited due to storage units in the parking spots of guests because of construction due to hurricanes, I assume. Instead of making it convenient for the workers you are paying for repairs, maybe you should make it convenient for the guests who are paying you to stay there. Location was not bad, but if you want to go to a public beach with plenty of room then you will have to drive about 10 minutes to Public Beach Access #3. The additional activities included were great. We took advantage of the deep sea fishing and had a terrific time and the process was simple to book. I would recommend staying here but with caution.

Family Celebration

We wanted a little getaway to the beach to celebrate our daughter’s College graduation. Lost Key didn’t disappoint! It was beautiful and relaxing! It felt very safe. We would love to come back next year!
