Smoky Mountain Retreat is a premier 1000 acre luxury log home community voted one of America's 10 best log home communities in the world. Paved, maintained roads lead you through breathtaking long range views of the Smoky Mountains, Lake Junaluska and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

‘Evergreen Escape’ features: 3 bedrooms/3.5 baths/2 car garage/2 balconies/gas fireplace/full basement as well as an upstairs loft/den for additional sleeping space/lounging. This cabin has wireless internet/satellite tv (including HBO/Showtime etc. & access to NETFLIX, HULU), granite kitchen w/ microwave/ coffee makers / appliances/dishes/large pantry; separate laundry room with full size washer/dryer/ironing board; fire pit for s'mores and large covered porches/balconies for viewing the mountains.

Smoky Mtn. Retreat community features a children's playground, waterfalls, streams, golf and the Laurel Ridge Country Club (semi-private). Four seasons fun at nearby: the Biltmore Estate, The Great Smoky Mtn. Railroad, Lake Junaluska, Waynesville shopping and dining, Nantahala Outdoor Center, Chimney Rock , more...

Amazing Stay in Maggie Valley

We loved staying here! It’s a beautiful cabin and had almost everything we needed. The cabin itself is beautiful on the inside and the views outside are gorgeous. The only thing we couldn’t find was a way to watch Netflix. Other than that, it was perfect!

Beautiful views and great location. Views from the back porch are killer, if you love the pictures of the view you will be in heaven. Great location, a good starting point for whatever you decide to do. Shelly was friendly and accommodating throughout the process.

Maggie trip fall 2020

Beautiful home with fantastic views. Great location close to Waynesville and parkway roads. Exceptional gated subdivision, nice landscaping and good roads. The owners have maintained the home in excellent condition. The home is decorated nicely with a well equipped kitchen.

Perfect mountain stay

This is a truly stunning cabin, with expansive mountain views, and a beautiful, stylish interior. The kitchen is perfectly equipped for serious cooking, and the location (with Asheville, the BRP, and the Great Smokies all within 40 minutes) is ideal. Shelley is a great, responsive host. Will be coming back soon.

Beautiful Cabin

This was the second stay at this property. The owner is very accessible for any questions or concerns. The kitchen was well equipped with everything that you need. The beds were comfortable. The fireplace made our stay warm and cozy. The location is close to restaurants. I highly recommend!

Very nice, clean and well maintained house in Maggie Valley/Waynesville area. Long range views from front porch. We've rented a lot of houses in the Waynesville area, cleaning fee on this one was the highest we've paid.

Evergreen Escape was everything as presented. The home is beautifully decorated and the moment you walk in you feel a warm cozy feeling of home. The king size bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped. My husband and I were the only ones there so we only used the main floor. The fall leaves put on a spectacular show for us. The owner of the home was very responsive and we would highly recommend this beautiful property for a short or extended stay.

Gorgeous cabin, gorgeous location.

We had the pleasure to spend a month at this beautiful cabin. It was very comfortable and is located in a heavily wooded, gated mountain community. Temps were typically 5 to 8 degrees cooler than Maggie Valley- a nice break from summer heat! The kitchen was awesome for those who like to cook. Outdoor gas grill was basically brand new. Upper and lower deck porches provide great views of the mountains. Close to Asheville, Waynesville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The host was very friendly and responded quickly to inquiries. There are two neighbors nearby, but both were quiet and also very friendly. We hope to return next year!

Perfect location for NC side of Smoky Mountains

This property is outstanding and the house layout was perfect. The ability to have a garage to bring in from long days of hiking before you get into the house was a big plus for us. We traveled with 4 adults and 2 teens. Plenty of space in the house for everyone to spread out and enjoy. Definitely plan a day for just the cabin as it is great. The Dining table is big enough for 6 people to comfortably sit and have a meal together, and the kitchen gets a lot praise for having enough space for multiple people to use at the same time. The property manager is very prompt in communications and attentive to questions. I will keep this place bookmarked for future plans too. Location is great as it is in Maggie Valley, but not in the city. 10 minutes to a Publix was amazing and the views are of the mountains! We were eager to explore the NC side of the Smokies so this was perfect, but it wasn't much more than an hour for the day we drove to Sugarland. 5 stars across the board.

Beautiful Cabin in the Perfect Location!

This was our second visit to this beautiful property, and hopefully not our last! The cabin is gorgeous - beautifully furnished and fully stocked. The owner has anticipated every need, especially in the beautiful gourmet kitchen. With a loft and lower level game area, there is plenty of space to spread out making it perfect for families....although we spent much of our time in the family room with the large vaulted ceiling and stone fireplace. While the cabin is in a neighborhood with a couple of homes nearby, there is a definite feeling of privacy and solitude. The views of the mountains from the porches is breathtaking! Even the drive (paved) up to the property is lovely.... the stream that flows along the way, the vegetation and trees in the woods, and all the sounds of nature. The location is perfect -- far enough away for the beautiful mountain views and that sense of "being away from it all" but close enough (and an easy drive) to Asheville, Cherokee and the Smoky Mountain Nat'l Park, and a multitude of other attractions. We also love the charming town of Waynesville that is about 15 mins. away. We're already looking forward to coming back!

Winter Paradise

Great location, great views, great cabin and wonderful hosts! The cabin was exactly as advertised if not better! It was clean, beds were comfortable, furniture was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything needed in addition to a wonderful view to enjoy while cooking. The kitchen faced the family living area so you could cook and talk while preparing meals while the family was enjoying the fireplace and TV. This cabin is great for a family gathering or a romantic getaway for a couple. Shelly responded quickly to my questions and she was so nice and courteous which really added to a hassle free experience. I would rate it higher than 5 stars if I could. I've been renting in the area for over 25 years and this was one of our most enjoyable trips. Close proximity to the ski resort, where my Granddaughter saw snow for the first time. It's also close to town for groceries and restaurants. Frankies Italian in Maggie Valley has such great food and so does Joey's Pancakes for a breakfast of banana Pancakes a two year old rated very highly. My family and extended family have always enjoyed escaping from the Florida heat to the mountains of North Carolina. We have enjoyed the Smoky Mtn Retreat for over 11 years and have fun skiing and tubing in the winter in Maggie Valley, shopping in Waynesville, visiting the Biltmore house, restaurants in Asheville, and enjoying the Blue Ridge parkway in the summer. This property is easily accessible from the Asheville Airport (~30min. drive). We like the privacy of the gated community that clears the roads in the winter and the ease of driving on a paved and maintained road all the way to high elevation of the cabin.
