CABRA - Porto Covo

CABRA is a hidden retreat in the Alentejo region, designed for those seeking to slow down, reconnect with nature, and create family memories. Among the unique little houses – the Cow House, the Bear House, the Goat House – the Tree House that sprouts from its trunk, and the Tipi that seems straight out of a fairy tale, every detail invites you to live slowly, in harmony with the countryside. The space is educational and inviting for families: all the animals have names and enchant while teaching, participating in a small country orchestra, conducted by the birds that give rhythm and magic to the days. The library, scattered throughout the gardens, offers magical and varied corners where each guest can choose their setting to read and explore, creating moments of discovery and tranquility. There are no televisions here: we opted to replace them with board games, encouraging sharing, fun, and reconnection between people. In the summer, breakfasts at Café do Louro, to the sound of Pavarotti, make each awakening light and enchanting. Sustainability and care are in every gesture: we work with local and Portuguese partners, every detail is meticulously thought out, and even the cleaning products we use are ecological and Green Care certified. Guests are invited to participate in composting and gardening, experiencing and learning conscious practices in an organic way. CABRA is a living space, where every object, every house, every animal, every musical note, and every garden tells a storey. A place where families, friends, and travellers can slow down, reconnect, learn, and experience unique moments, surrounded by nature and the charm of the Alentejo countryside.
