We warmly welcome you into one of our two country suites, 160 m² each, that have been constructed in the Orangerie which adjoins our authentic 18th-century small chateau. Enjoy a few days or weeks of exquisite French country life with us !
Hospitality and conviviality are really important for us: we shall take care of you and recommend you our prefered restaurants, our favorite tours, and beautiful gardens. It is our pleasure to share treasured family gourmet recipes or stories about our castle and ghoststories over tea or a drink by the fireplace in our living rooms.

Description and pratical information :
Each suite includes a living room with fireplace, dining room, kitchen, one bedroom downstairs with direct exit to a private terrace and a luxurious bathroom, two bedrooms upstairs, toilet and shower. Each room has a work desk and a seating area.
* master bedroom with bathroom and shower on the ground floor
* Bedrooms with hotel****bedding, size 160/200 cm
* 2 big bedrooms upstairs, with cathedral ceilings of 3.80 m, share a shower room with toilet
* 1 or 2 sofabeds are available in the bedrooms upstairs (the Pastel suite 2 and the Baroque suite 1).
* Fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, vented induction stove, full oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, nespresso machine, kitchen mixer, etc...
* Lounge: TV, CD and DVD player and others
* Each suite has a laudry with washing machine and dryer
* Large romantic gardens are shared, however, each has a private terraced space with sun loungers, table and chairs and a barbecue. The suites terraces are separated by elegant trellis with climbing plants.

Perfect spot for families

We loved our stay! The location was perfect for touring Normandy, and the garden offered such a peaceful setting for ending our days. Claudia was charming as could be and very accommodating. The space worked great for our group of 5 (4 adults and a 5 year old). My son especially loved the balcony, because it made a great launch pad for the parachute toys he got from the WW2 museum. Highly recommend!

A romantic and beautiful chateau stay.

This is such a beautiful and relaxing property! Our gracious hosts met us and gave us the fascinating history of this 1720's chateau. The apartment is beautifully appointed and such a relaxing home to come back to after a busy day of visiting the local sites. Merci encore pour une visite impeccable !

Joy near Bayeux

The host of this gorgeous home is delightful and extremely helpful. Perfect location for visiting all Normandy sights while being in a country setting. Wish we could have stayed longer. We would go back again.

Delightful and Convenient

Lovely property out in the quiet country but just 10 minutes from Bayeux. Spacious and well-equipped, with so many interesting and authentic details. Gorgeous sunrises! A welcoming and knowledgeable host who loves her property and the surrounding area. We loved staying here!

Wonderful Location and Fabolous Property

I was visiting this part of France with my wife, mother and mother in law, we had a really enjoyable stay and would thoroughly recommend it as an ideal location for anybody visiting the area. The host had a wealth of information on Normandy and we found the accommodation relaxing and exquisitely furnished and decorated.

L'Orangerie

We were delighted by the property. It was close to Bayeux and all it has to offer, yet located in such a way as to get to Mont St. Michel and Normandy easily. The property itself is beautiful and the owner was so helpful with dining and sightseeing ideas. I would highly recommend it and would stay there again.

Magical French Countryside

Beautiful and spacious 3 bedroom chateau in a green and lush setting. Easy drive from Rouen - our jumping off point - and then to the Normandy beaches. We drove as far as Mont St Michel - easy day drive. Great beds and helpful, friendly hosts. Thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay.

Beauty inside and out

Located just a short distance from Bayeaux in the countryside. The setting is beautiful and the unit is clean and comfortable. The owner is charming. I would highly recommend. We used it as a base to travel the sites of Normandy.

Wonderful apartment in chateau

Beautiful private apartment in a separate wing of Chateau in lovely rural setting about 15 minute drive from Bayeux town center. Husband and wife hosts were very welcoming. If you’re looking for a nice quiet place away from the hustle and bustle of town, this is perfect!

Wonderful.

Claudia is a very gracious host, and my family enjoyed a lovely stay at her beautiful chateau. This place is even more luxurious than the pictures show. There’s an increíble attention to style and detail. On the practical side, the home comes furnished with everything you need. We hope to return.

Serene setting outside Bayeaux

4 of us adults thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights at The Conde Castle and Claudia and Michel were excellent hosts. We were greeted by each of them and shown around the property, which is perfectly serene and quiet. Every morning we walked on the country roads and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the beautiful farms. The place was well stocked with kitchen items and the bedrooms very comfortable. Great location for access to D-day sites and easy drive to town for supplies or dinner. Perfect for 2 couples.

Fabulous Stay

We visited in early June, the purpose of our visit was to see the D Day beaches. The accommodation was perfect, lovely and bright, well equipped in a quiet spot, a short drive from Bayeux. Lots of hot water, comfy beds, very clean and airy. Claudia was very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay when needed. Great accommodation for 2 couples as we had our own facilities, one room with bath/shower, the other with shower. The setting was idyllic with the beautiful lake. The position for visiting WWll museums, beaches and memorials was absolutely ideal. Would thoroughly recommend. Thank you Claudia.

Pastoral setting in rural France.

We spent 5 nights in this lovely setting in order to explore Normandy, Mont Saint Michel, & Rouen. The apartment had limited amenities, but was comfortable for two couples. The laundry facility is adjacent to the apartment, & shared with the other apartment. The location is 10 minutes outside of Bayeux. Claudia is a responsive & welcoming host. We gained a whole new appreciation for the French countryside!

Great Normandy Base

Beautiful spot to serve as a base for Normandy. We had four adults and 2 children - plenty of room, comfortable beds, lovely gardens. Easy 5-10 minute drive to Bayeux and another 20 or so to the D-day beaches. We took a day trip to Mont Saint-Michel which was very worth the one hour each way. Somewhat tricky to find the location (it is too rural for google maps etc) but the hostess Claudia will email excellent directions. Would definitely return and hope to do so one day. If you are looking for a well located, private, roomy place to stay from which you can explore Normandy this is in an outstanding option.

Magnificent

If you want to relax, and enjoy open spaces. This is the place to be. Claudia was an amazing host, they made our stay incredible. They also went the extra mile to help us with our lost baggage. The home is on two levels, and very private. The kitchen has everything you might need. The interior was in a classic French style, which we really loved. I will highly recommend this property to anyone. We hope to come back there again. If I could give it stars, I would give it 11 out of 10.

A top stay! Tasteful, spacious, welcoming, & central to WWII Normandy

Host Claudia maintains tasteful, clean, and comfortable accommodations at L'orangerie. She was very welcoming and helpful upon arrival to explain all of the appliances and features of the apartment. The apartment is much larger in person than it appeared in the photos. We were very comfortable with three adults and three children. The view is beautiful, overlooking the grounds and fields beyond. From L'orangerie, we easily visited all the top WWII sites, the town of Bayeux, and even Mont St. Michel (1.5 hours by car). The area is quiet, and centrally located to many sites in Normandie. The kitchen is fully equipped. The beds are comfortable, and the overall feel of the place is spacious and welcoming. Check-out was a breeze, compared to all the tedious cleaning requirements of many other rentals we have experienced. Many thanks to Claudia. Highly recommend.

Fantastic!!!

This property is truly amazing. Claudia and Michel met us at check-in and gave us the grand tour. They were very pleasant and genuinely happy to meet us and our 3 kids. We loved hearing about the property and some of the stories associated with some of the furniture pieces. This is hands down the nicest VRBO that I have ever stayed in. There was plenty of room and the beds were amazing. All of the conveniences were taken care of like Nespresso coffee machine and tableware. My wife absolutely loved taking a hot bath after a full day of sightseeing. The location is wonderful (only 4-5 miles from Bayeaux) and incredible quiet and dark at night. Claudia gave us some great restaurant recommendations. We never had reservations, but were always able to get into a place by going a little earlier in the evening before all of the locals arrived. I would recommend making reservations ahead of time for some of the nicer places in Bayeaux. This property matches the pictures exactly and is an idyllic French farm house in Normandy. It is exactly what I had in mind while planning the vacation. You will love it!

eine absolute Reiseempfehlung

Wir hatten einen wirklich schönen Urlaub bei Claudia und Michel. Claudia hat uns persönlich empfangen und bei allen Fragen, auch schon vor Anreise, helfen können. Die Unterkunft ist gut zu finden und liegt in einem ganz kleinen Dörfchen in der Nähe von Bayeux.Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Die Räume sind alle groß und hell und entsprechen zu 100% der Beschreibung! Der Garten war für die Kinder zu jeder Zeit nutzbar zum Spielen und Sonnenbaden. Die Umgebung ist herrlich für Naturliebhaber, man kann alles ohne Probleme mit dem Fahrrad erkunden. Die nächstgrößere Stadt, Bayeux, ist in wenigen Minuten mit dem Auto erreichbar. Wir sind so verzaubert von dieser wunderschönen Kleinstadt. Man kann wunderbar flanieren, in kleinen Cafés einkehren und sehr gut essen.Wir haben vor wieder zu kommen und dann kommen wir auch wieder zu Claudia und Michel. Wir haben uns sehr gut betreut gefühlt und durften am letzten Abend auch noch der Geschichte des Hauses lauschen.
