A warm Dorset welcome to Holly Cottage, a beautiful thatched holiday home full of character and comfort. Well set back, in the Dorset village of Lytchett Matravers, this spacious property offers plenty of room for families, friends, and even your four-legged companions.
Step inside to a welcoming reception hall with space for coats and boots, perfect after countryside walks. The large farmhouse kitchen is the heart of the home, adjoining a vaulted-ceiling dining room that comfortably seats eight. The low-ceilinged lounge exudes old-world charm while offering every modern comfort, including a large Smart TV with all your favourite streaming services.
Upstairs, the double-aspect master bedroom features a king-size bed with luxurious linen, ample storage, a TV, and a private en-suite with an overhead rain shower. Bedroom 2 offers a cosy double bed, while Bedroom 3 is a delightful full-sized single brimming with traditional Dorset cottage charm. A family bathroom with bathtub and handheld shower completes the first floor.
On the ground floor, Bedroom 4 doubles as a flexible guest or workspace, featuring a king sized bed/daybed, TV, and desk. (Please note: the king sized bed is made up only upon request for groups of 5 or fewer; additional charges of £50 per stay apply.) Adjacent are the utility room and a convenient wet room/WC.
Outside, a pretty fully secure enclosed (6ft fencing) garden awaits complete with lawn, pretty borders, patio, wood-burning BBQ, and plenty of comfortable seating for summer evenings. The garden offers direct access to a large public park with expansive green space, a well-maintained children’s playground and a skate park. Ideal for keeping all ages entertained.
At the front, there’s private off-street parking for up to three cars and an EV charger (available for an additional fee).

You’ll also be within easy reach of wonderful National Trust attractions, including Brownsea Island, Kingston Lacy and Corfe Castle, all within around a 15-minute drive. Other popular attractions nearby include Monkey World, The Tank Museum and Camp Bestival.
The New Forest and Paultons Park, home to the world-famous Peppa Pig World, are also within a 45-minute drive.
Excellent local transport links from Poole, Bournemouth and surrounding areas make this the perfect Dorset getaway.
