About this property

Newly Furnished and remodeled condo/Heated Pool

Our 1,100 square foot Cascade Village condo (Unit 362) (less then 2 miles north of Purgatory Ski Area, 25 miles south to Durango) featuring two bedrooms and two baths is a great escape for a mountain adventure. The condo was completely remodeled in 2023 and includes a fully stocked kitchen, wood burning fireplace (firewood provided) and a private deck.

Mountain decor, an open living plan, and comfortable furnishings and linens all contribute to its warm atmosphere. Both bedrooms along with the main living space contain a TV.

Bed Configuration:
Master Bedroom - King with TV (Upstairs)
2nd Bedroom- Queen and twin bunk beds and TV (Main floor)
Main Living Space - Pull out queen sofa with TV (Main floor)

Cascade Village is less than 2 miles north of Purgatory Resort, 26 miles (less than 30 minutes) north of Durango and 25 miles south of Silverton (less than 30 minutes). Free on-site amenities at Cascade Village including an indoor heated pool, sauna, outdoor/indoor hot tubs, pool table, outdoor tennis court, & ski rental shop (with discounts).

Purgatory offers a complimentary ski shuttle to our Cascade rental guests on a set schedule 1-2 times in the AM and PM during the ski season, on a first come first serve basis. Details will be provided in your rental instructions.

All of the Cascade Village units are equipped with reliable Fiber Optic internet service with an average internet speed of up to 50 Mbps and guests can stream their favorite movies and TV shows on their preferred provider (e.g. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime) using the smart TVs in the unit. With fast and reliable fiber optic WIFI, guests can stream on multiple devices. Cable TV is not available in any units at Cascade Village.

Due to HOA regulations, this unit, and all of the units at Cascade Village, are NOT pet friendly and there is no parking for trailers.

As with all properties in the area, the condo does not have AC. Given the day times highs are rarely above 80 while the lows are in the 40s. Open the windows after the sun is behind the mountains and then close them in the morning along with the blinds that face west. This will keep the house plenty cool.

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

Very Nice Condo and a Great Location

The condo was clean and very well organized. We enjoyed the fireplace and there was plenty of firewood available in the garage. The complex was well maintained, and the garage was located under the building which made it very convenient. The location worked very well for our visit. It made it easy to visit Ouray, Silverton, and Durango. We definitely recommend this unit, and we will try to book this condo in the future.

Fantastic location for summer mountain fun

Being about half way between Silverton and Durango allowed us to easily do the Alpine loop keep rental , see Ouray(stunning mountains and Box canyon water fall), Durango hot springs (5stars), river raft in Durango and spend half day at Purgatory ski areas (summer slide, coaster, go carts and ski lift ride). With no long driving. Any drive is gorgeous. The kitchen had all we needed and hiking out the back door excellent! Even a wood burning fireplace WITH wood provided) so glad we found this gem!

It was a great cozy and comfortable condo. Only complaints were the upstairs tub had not been cleaned…. When we turned on the jets pink pieces of material came floating out…. And there were big black flies everywhere ….. other than that no complaints

It’s a quiet location, which is very nice. There were no restaurants open locally around the Purgatory/Cascade Village area. I did not like having to drive into Durango every day to find a restaurant that could offer a good meal. This was a 60-mi. round-trip each time. Access to my unit on the third floor from the covered parking area in the back was tedious to carry heavy luggage, coolers, etc. it was also a long walk from the front area. Although I would recommend this rental to another person, I would not stay there again myself, due to the long drive back-and-forth from Durango and the access to the third floor unit.

Most of the traffic coming into Purgatory is coming from the other direction, so getting into the resort was a breeze. We rented skis from conveniently located Performance Sports. The kids enjoyed the pool/hot tub/sauna in the afternoons. We loved having easy access to wood for a fire in the fireplace.Only negative would be weak WiFi which may just have been mountain location more than anything else.

We loved the area and the condo was great. We had a small issue trying to figure out how to lock the door but a neighbor was able to help us so that turned out okay. There were plenty of towels when we found them and the beds were very comfortable. The price was good with a pay for 3 nights, get the 4th night free which appealed to us all. Everything turned out well and we were able to relax and enjoy vacation time like never before!

The location of this condo is great. It’s just 5 minutes from Purgatory Ski Resort so very convenient. The condo had plenty of space for our family of five. There were several things that could have made our stay at this property better. First, the condo was not completely clean when we arrived. The surfaces were dusty as if someone had cleaned weeks ago but hadn’t come in before our stay to touch up. The management company was responsive and partially refunded the cleaning fee. However, there were also several dishes that were not clean on our arrival and we had to clean them prior to use and a towel with stains that the management company did not see as an issue. We later learned that the dishwasher wasn’t very effective so the dirty dishes were likely a result of that. Being new to Cascade Village, it would have been nice to have a map of the property to show us where the fitness facility was and the pool/hot tub and info about when the shuttles were running to and from Purgatory. We called the office line several times but no one was available. We did find out that the shuttles only run 2 times per day, once in the morning to Purgatory and then once in the afternoon back to the property. Cascade Village, in general was a nice place, however it felt under cared for - the fitness room was not clean and neither was the hot tub/pool. The place has a ton of potential just needs a little extra love.
