About this property

Purgatory townhome with Easy Access to Slopes - Views - EV Charger

Our 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath townhome (Unit 12) is located in the Sitzmark Building at Purgatory Resort and offers convenience in all seasons. This is a slope side retreat right at the base of one of Purgatory’s favorite runs, Lower Hades (just walk up to Lower Hades from the townhome). Ski down to the high-speed six pack in the morning, and ski right back to your door in the afternoon. In spring, summer and fall, mountain biking and hiking trails are just the other side of the front door (See drone photo).

The condo offers plenty of space for multiple families and features an open floor plan and Smart TVs, games/puzzles as well as parking at the unit for 2 vehicles, washer and dryer, WIFI and a gas grill and seating on the back patio. A Level 2 EV charger was recently installed as well.

It's not directly behind the location, you do have to walk up a hill to it, but it's not far. Parking can be a little tight for a couple vehicles but does work. Amenities were nice, rooms were comfortable and we had everything we needed.

The resort activities kept us busy and our family had a wonderful time. We absolutely loved it! Our townhouse had quite a bit of problems. The roof leaked, and because of Christmas no one was available to fix it. There were some lights not working because of water leak I think and cobwebs were hanging from light in kitchen. I thought it was very overpriced for the condition of the home. Other than that though we did enjoy ourselves and our kids had fun.

Great location and layout

Loved our stay - perfect location for getting on and off slopes. Well equipped kitchen. Plenty of space for our families to be together. Dishwasher isn’t great - so rinse everything before loading. Had a wonderful time! Excellent communication with property manager.

Our family had a wonderful stay—the space was cozy, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. While it is technically ski-in, the ski-out requires a short hike to reach the hill leading down to the base area. The hike isn’t particularly difficult, but it does involve traversing a side slope and a slight uphill section that can be icy and slippery, which may be challenging for some. Overall, we had an excellent experience and would highly recommend this condo!

The hot tub is a huge bonus after a long day of skiing! The kitchen is well stocked with dishware, however it could use a few additional items like additional tongs, rubber spatulas and a potato masher. Mardi Gras snow ski trip

The ski in ski out was very accurate. There is a way to access the room via green slope. We are a group of experience skiers and One of the reviews I read, said that the only way to get to the room was from a black slope. That is not true. I would recommend this place to anyone. We had a great stay. The house could use a larger nonstick pan for cooking eggs for large group of people. But that’s about it. 👍👍

Nice house, walk out to slopes and ski in

A nice 3 story townhouse with all the essentials to make it yours for the week. Short walk out to the slopes and you can ski back in the backdoor. Spacious bedrooms, except the bunkroom is quite tight. Felt a little nickel and dimed on the fact that you spend $1k/night but they only give you a tiny amount of dishwasher tabs/soap and trash bags. Fireplace and grill were a nice touch. The driveway pretty much requires 4x4, very difficult if it snows at all. Isn't plowed until it reaches 6" so it makes getting to the condo tight. Only 2 parking spots, so you have to park any other cars at the base. Team was very responsive, place was clean.

The style and decor of this home was just right; not over stimulating. Very nice! After a long day on the slopes we enjoyed the private hot tub. The master suite is on the main level with the living room and kitchen, which is perfect for middle-aged skiers who don’t want to take the stairs. This is probably the best condo we’ve ever stay in and we’ve been skiing for almost 10 years. Really enjoyed the mud room which housed all our ski equipment and we didn’t track through the house. The bunk room was a little tight, but our teenaged boys only slept in there, so it wasn’t a problem. At the end of the day we literally skied onto our porch! We hope to stay here again!

The unit sleeps 10 comfortably and has adequate bedrooms and bathrooms for this number of people. However, the unit does not have an adequate supply of hot water for showers when 10 guests are staying here. Hot water would run out fully after a few 10 min showers and even with large spacing in between we did not have hot showers for each of our guests on a daily basis which was disappointing and uncomfortable. I would also suggest that the unit consider adding a few more wine glasses as 3 is not adequate for a larger group either.

Wonderful ski vacation

We stayed here the week before Christmas and had a great time. The property was perfect for the 10 of us. My parents, my family of 4 and my sister's family of 4. We were a little concerned after reading some of the reviews from earlier in the year but all of those things seemed to have been addressed! The property management was very helpful and easy to communicate with. We were disappointed that the hot tub didn't work but they refunded the hot tub fee to make it right. A couple of things to mention (not complaints but just FYI). The bedroom on the 1st floor with bunk beds is really small. There's not much room for suitcases and bags. Although the condo is listed as ski in/ski out, it is not for beginner skiers. You have to be a pretty decent skier to get back to the condo. Our first 2 days we had to drive to pick up our beginners but by the 3rd day they were able to ski home which was the whole point of getting this condo! We were happy with this rental.

Nice place, sad kitchen equipment

The property is in the back away from the hustle and bustle of the crowd which is nice. Pros: In the back away from crowds Plenty bedrooms and bathrooms for a large crowd Short walk away from ski resort Small hot tub for 2 Plenty eating utensils (not enough cookware) Fast communication Did have enough starter stuff Games available for family time Cons Not great parking-only 2 car spots Cookware was in poor condition Coffee maker is the cheapest you can buy and was super slow No ac and the Nats can get through screens Wasn't super clean there are cob webs and dead bugs in corners and walls The kitchen equipment is a sad bunch of leftovers cobbled together. Not really great for trying to feed more than 6. There is enough plates and utensils but all the pots and pans were not in great shape and all the non stick was scratched or very old. Also only high temp utensils were spoons...no spatulas. The sink faucet is also loose and needs replacing

Adequate but not up to our Expectations

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property was a disappointment from the beginning. It specifically said no pets; one of the reasons for choosing it, and there was pet hair literally everywhere on everything. Although there were plenty of cookware items to use, most of them, were not usable because they were dirty or so worn/burnt, they were not usable. There was no firewood for us to use to have a fire during the entire stay and other areas were also very dirty such as ceiling fans, etc. We emailed the property during our stay about our concerns and NEVER heard back. We will definitely not be back to this particular property in the future.

We apologize for housekeeping missing some of the pet hair. It is a no-pet property, however, homeowners are allowed to bring pets if they wish. Please call us if you need a truly animal-free environment due to allergies etc and we are happy to let you know of our selection of properties. No pets just means guests can't bring pets. We perform kitchen inventory and will replace any worn items, but past guests have not commented on being unable to use the kitchen items. Please, please always call us if you need firewood if the HOA provided stash has run out. We are happy to drop some off. We always respond to emails within the hour, it is a company policy of ours - perhaps they went into your spam folder? We want your stay to be as enjoyable as possible and we have a lot of resources to provide you with whatever you will need and we do not hesitate to do so. I'm sorry you feel you won't rent this property again. We hope you come stay with a VRC property again soon as this is not a normal standard of experience.
