The property had everything we needed, just as advertised. John was a wonderful host and gave us so much information about the area and wonderful suggestions about how to use our travel days. The property was beautiful and we really enjoyed walking along the ocean. Be aware that, as in most of the Island of Hawaii, the shoreline is elevated lava rock. It is stunningly beautiful, but you need something sturdier than flip flops for your ocean walk. This property was an easy drive to Volcano National Park, as well as the beautiful sites along the east coast.
We were more than pleased by our stay at this beautiful slice of paradise. John and Maria have done an amazing job creating this oasis on the coast. On top of that they are the most hospitable and friendly hosts. They have thought of every detail imaginable for their guests. The whole experience made us feel like we were right at home, lacking nothing.
My wife and I had a great stay. Very peaceful and very beautiful. Very convenient to Volcano National Park and Hilo. We would absolutely stay there again.
This property was great for what we needed - being right on the ocean was fantastic! John and Maria were wonderful, gracious hosts - had a fabulous time :)
Mahalo Maria and John. We could not have asked for better and would highly recommend here to anybody looking for a peaceful yet accessible place to stay.
Great Oceanside location. Host provided a clean, secure and comfortable place to stay. Great location from which to explore the Big Island. Great sunrises over the Pacific.
Just a great location, with miles of ocean front lava cliffs to explore right out the front door. The cottage is very charming, and extremely well equipped. We will be returning.
Hard to say what was the best. The ocean front view with waves lulling us to sleep. A house with all the amenities of a luxury hotel. Bicycles to explore the neighboring area. Helpful hosts. Definitely one of the best VRBO stays we’ve ever had.
The location was great for my wife and I. We enjoyed the tranquil setting, the sound of the ocean, and the singing birds. Thanks for sharing your cottage.
I really enjoyed my stay here. The place was very cleanly and everything outside was really cool. The information provided also helped me find some good eateries in the area. Overall, I probably couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for a vacation.
I absolutely loved the location, on the Paradise Cliffs and right at the start of the trail to Hā‘Ena. Wow!!Also, the hosts' attention to detail ensured we had everything we could possibly need. I would love to stay here again. Thanks!!
