About this property
Ocean Front Property adjacent to thousands of acres of undeveloped state land.
Kailea means "sea of dreams". It is a brand newly constructed property located in sunny Kaloli Point. It is a spacious ocean front lot with added sense of considerable privacy as it is adjacent to thousands of acres of undeveloped coastal state land, which you can access for walks, fishing, etc. If you feel energetic, you can even hike along the scenic coast, or the tropical rain forest to the gorgeous Ha'ena Beach. Feel the spray of the ocean and if you are lucky, witness the humpback whales breaching or singing close by during season. Here, you will find an unobstructed view of both open ocean as well as distant shoreline. Treat yourself to a beautiful sunrise and quite often, a romantic moon rise on the horizon. For you bird watchers, you may see a variety of rare specimens such as the io (hawk) or the pueo (owl) along with the more common frigates and nene (Hawaiian geese) flying overhead. There is much to do here and we will provide the use of water sport gear, beach chairs and towels, bicycles, caving gear, and many more. Kailea is close to many attractions on the east side of the island. We currently reside close by but are in the process of finishing the construction of the main residential dwelling on the property. In short, we will be in short proximity to serve your needs and answer your questions promptly. E komo mai! Conditions of Short Term Vacation Rental as mandated by County Planning Dept.: 1.) We were more than pleased by our stay at this beautiful slice of paradise. John and Maria have done an amazing job creating this oasis on the coast. On top of that they are the most hospitable and friendly hosts. They have thought of every detail imaginable for their guests. The whole experience made us feel like we were right at home, lacking nothing.
This place has the most amazing backyard ever which is miles of lava rock cliffs and crashing waves, multiple arches (100 times better than driving to Holei Sea Arch), beautiful sunrises, and little to no people. The house is clean, THEY HAVE EVERYTHING, even a bucket of flip flops, yoga mats, bicycles, snorking gear, head laps, boogie boards, cooler. It just feels like you are at home. Bathroom has a toto washlet, shampoos, conditioners, sunscreens. All of the appliances are in working order and relatively modern. It's a nice gated property at the end of a quiet street. No traffic whatsoever. Would love to stay here again!!
Hard to say what was the best. The ocean front view with waves lulling us to sleep. A house with all the amenities of a luxury hotel. Bicycles to explore the neighboring area. Helpful hosts. Definitely one of the best VRBO stays we’ve ever had.
This property is a gem! Just bring a few changes of clothes and nothing else, they provide EVERYTHING! There was hygiene products, laundry detergent, paper towels, beach toys (including chairs, cooler, and umbrella), fresh 5-gallon water for dispenser, everything. We did not want for anything while staying here. The bed is comfy, A/C can cool the whole room down at night, quickly, for a solid night's sleep. There was plenty of cooking utensils/pots/pans to cook anything really. There's a four burner stove with oven, a microwave, coffee maker, and toaster oven, everything you need to make food during the stay. I'd say a perfect place for a couple (like us), maybe even good for one younger child too. We had zero issues and found the hosts to be very kind and hospital.I would definitely stay here again on my travels to the east side of the Big Island!Mahalo John and Maria!
My wife and I had a great stay. Very peaceful and very beautiful. Very convenient to Volcano National Park and Hilo. We would absolutely stay there again.
This property was great for what we needed - being right on the ocean was fantastic! John and Maria were wonderful, gracious hosts - had a fabulous time :)
Great Oceanside location. Host provided a clean, secure and comfortable place to stay. Great location from which to explore the Big Island. Great sunrises over the Pacific.
Just a great location, with miles of ocean front lava cliffs to explore right out the front door. The cottage is very charming, and extremely well equipped. We will be returning.
Mahalo Maria and John. We could not have asked for better and would highly recommend here to anybody looking for a peaceful yet accessible place to stay.
The location was great for my wife and I. We enjoyed the tranquil setting, the sound of the ocean, and the singing birds. Thanks for sharing your cottage.
I absolutely loved the location, on the Paradise Cliffs and right at the start of the trail to Hā‘Ena. Wow!!Also, the hosts' attention to detail ensured we had everything we could possibly need. I would love to stay here again. Thanks!!
I really enjoyed my stay here. The place was very cleanly and everything outside was really cool. The information provided also helped me find some good eateries in the area. Overall, I probably couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for a vacation.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The location was nice and quiet and sunrises on the ocean are wonderful. Mahalo again.
