Glenmore Cottage – A Remote Kerry Way Retreat
Tucked away in the peaceful valley of Glenmore, just outside Waterville, Glenmore Cottage is a charming old stone farmhouse that offers a truly off-the-grid escape. Surrounded by lakes and hills, and located along a scenic country drive, it’s the ideal retreat for guests seeking nature, quiet, and a break from the modern rush.

About 15 minutes from the nearest village, the cottage is a short drive to Hogs Head Golf Club, Waterville Golf Links, Derrynane Beach, and sits directly on the Kerry Way walking trail. A car is essential, and guests should be comfortable driving rural roads. Changeovers also require a trip out, so planning ahead is helpful.

This house has real character and charm, but facilities are basic, and it`s best suited for those who appreciate a rustic, authentic experience.

Inside the Cottage:
Three bedrooms: a double downstairs, and a double and twin room upstairs.
A single bathroom, located on the ground floor.
A spacious, open-plan kitchen and living area, with a wood-burning stove as the main heat source.
A bright, large conservatory/sunroom at the front with dining and sitting spaces and stunning mountain views.

Facilities & Essentials:
WiFi is available, but mobile phone coverage is limited – ideal for a digital detox.
No TV is provided
No central heating – warmth is provided by the wood-burning stove and plug-in oil-filled radiators.
