This delightful tastefully decorated lodge is set in a pretty position in the National Lake District park on a working farm, surrounded with open countryside to explore. The pretty village of Caldbeck is just a couple of miles away, here you will find a lovely pond with ducks, cafes, cricket club and pubs. There are so many walking routes from your door, whether you are looking for an easy stroll or hike. You can walk to the summits of High Pike and Carrock Fell to take in the magnificent views. There is a lovely walk from the village along the riverbanks to the limestone gorge of Howk you will find the ruins of Bobbin Mill which once had the largest waterwheel in the country. The pretty market towns of Penrith and Keswick are both just a short drive away.
As you enter the lodge you will enter a practical lobby area, which is great to kick off muddy boots, as you move into the lodge there is a spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge and dining area has wall to wall windows with views across Caldbeck valley and the fells, the outlook is stunning. The lounge has a comfy seating surrounding the Smart TV/DVD and cosy wood burner. The kitchen is equipped with electric oven and gas hob, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine. There is a lovely farm style dining table to sit down together and enjoy breakfast and plan for the day ahead. From the kitchen walk through into the hallway where there are two bedrooms, a king-size with en-suite shower and WC and a double bedroom. Both bedrooms are beautifully decorated with floor to ceiling windows making them bright and airy. There is a bathroom with shower over bath and WC.
Venture outside where you will find raised decking with furniture to sit out and admire the views and in the springtime you can enjoy watching the baby lambs. It is the perfect setting to watch the sunset over the fells. There is private parking for two cars next to the property.
