Beautiful, clean, very spacious but cozy cottage. Lovely attention to detail. Fresh milk, chocolates, a nice bottle of wine and tea/coffee supplies were provided. Gorgeous long-distance views of the countryside from most of the windows. We would absolutely stay there again. The host and owner, Andrew, was a delight. He showed us around the cottage and noted how to operate everything. He explained some of the history of the area and his family’s relationship to it which we found interesting. We arrived during Storm Éowyn. The electricity was knocked out a couple times, and Andrew supplied a torch and extra batteries. He provided updates from the electric company about when power would be restored which were accurate. The location is rural, with very narrow, hedgerow-lined roads. That is exactly what we wanted. For a taste of town life, groceries and restaurants, the drive to Keswick and Cockermouth didn’t take too long.

Lovely holiday cottage.
Lovely holiday cottage. The kids particularly loved that it was "upside down". Had everything we needed and beautiful views and surrounding countryside. Very friendly and helpful owner. Great community in local village Ireby where the kids did a fantastic pumpkin trail.

A beautiful house with amazing views in the most peaceful tranquil setting.
A beautiful house with amazing views in the most peaceful tranquil setting. A perfect place to relax and get away from it all!
The house was exceptionally clean and well maintained and equipped, couldn’t fault a thing about it.
The house is About 20mins from Keswick, 10 mins (drive) from a good pub and shoP, so not for anyone who wants convenience but defo for those who like beautiful home with peace!

Lovely cottage, very clean and comfortable.
Lovely cottage, very clean and comfortable. Lovely gift of wine and chocolates on arrival. Amazing walks and cycle rides. We didn't remain completely local and enjoyed activities between Keswick and Windermere, but the driving distance was not a problem. Local deer in a field nearby. No traffic noise. Great Chinese Takeaway at Wigton - Pearl Palace. We didn't eat out due to concerns about COVID -19.
Great games room.
I would totally recommend this cottage.

Fabulous upside down house, with lovely views over the surrounding countryside.
Fabulous upside down house, with lovely views over the surrounding countryside. Directions were good, the cottage conversion was excellently done, and there was a warm welcome with wine, chocolates an fresh scones. Butter pats, tea coffee and sugar in case we didn't have any were all there too. Lovely games room with table tennis and pool tables, which was why we booked, but we'll worth it for lots of reasons. A bit out of the way for the lower lakes, but there was a lovely pub in the nearby village which did great food, we would recommend a trip there for sure.

An excellent jump off point to explore the lakes.
An excellent jump off point to explore the lakes. All 'local' amenities are a drive away but we were aware of this which did not detract from a lovely stay. We would definitely consider revisiting.
