Exposed beams and peaceful neutral tones make the perfect blend of the traditional and the contemporary; sleek appliances and a stunning dark tiled floor in the kitchen diner match seamlessly with the rustic dining table and chairs. Upstairs, comfortable sofas and soft lighting in the lounge beckon you to curl up in front of the wood burner in the evening with a good book. But if it’s warm enough, spend nights out on the front patio, sizzling up a BBQ and dining alfresco.
Make sure you take a romantic trip on the National Trust’s Steam Yacht Gondola on Coniston Water (2.5 miles) before you take a stroll around the many footpaths to experience nature up close.
