About this property

Spacious townhome next to King and Prince, 1 block from beach and restaurants

Some new improvements to Oak Street include turning the jack and jill bath on the third floor into 2 full baths, relocating the laundry room to the second floor, expanding the deck off of the living room, and finishing the garage into a second living space. Some pictures are included. We hope that you all enjoy the new improvements!

Park your car and walk or bike to everything on the island! Our home borders the King & Prince Hotel property, so the location cannot be beat. The beach is a short two minute/one block walk from the front door. Or turn the other direction and in less than 2 minutes you have five fantastic restaurants at your disposal -the Crab Trap, Crab Daddies, the Beachcomber, Barrier Island Brewing, and Fiddlers. You can also pop into the Still for your beverage needs. Not to mention Ocean Motion for all of your kayaking, beach and biking needs. The King & Prince also offers oceanfront dining and a nice lounge for cocktails and appetizers.

Our home is a townhome situated on three levels. The first level contains a living room with a smart TV and a bedroom with a queen bed and full bath, which has access to a patio that is gated - a perfect spot to store beach equipment and bikes and rinse off the sand from the beach.

The second level is completely open and perfect for socializing. There is a large, fully equipped kitchen, half bath, laundry area, living area with a Smart TV, and a sizeable deck with a settee, a table and chairs, grill, and stairs that lead down to the patio. The deck is partially covered and shaded, which is a nice relief from the Georgia heat.

The third floor has two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, each with a vanity, toilet and shower. The back bedroom on this floor has a king size bed, TV, and a covered deck outdoor seating, perfect for reading and relaxing in the shade or enjoying a beverage, away from the main living area. The front bedroom has a queen size bed.

We love coming to St. Simons with our family and we hope your will enjoy our home as much as we do. Please call or email with any questions!

Note: This property is NOT part of the King & Prince, so there is not access to their pool. However, our public beach access runs through their property and is fully accessible to anyone. There is a beautiful public pool by the lighthouse with a huge kids area if you are interested in a pool day as opposed to a beach day.

Gets better every year!

This was our 5th year staying here and it just gets better and better every year. Not only is it close to the beach, it is within walking distance to several restaurants, small store, and a bike shop. The house has several floors, which means you get loads privacy. It isn't just a beach house, it feels like a warm and inviting home with beautiful and recent updates. We had several guests during our stay and each one raved about the location and comfort here. Nice clean property.. excellent location. Our only concern is the property doesn't exactly fit the description. It is advertised as a 3 bedroom 2 & 1/2 bath. At the last minute we invited another couple to join us but fortunately they could not join us as both main level bedrooms are joined by a jack and Jill bath... one shower and one toilet. The third bedroom was not available and also did not have a bath.

Listing and photos very misleading. The entire condo needs to be gutted and updated. The carpet was filthy. The only good thing about this place is its location but the exact opposite condition of the King & Prince

Close proximity to restaurants and the beach

The kitchen was very well stocked indeed and the location was wonderful. The biggest downside for two of three of us adults who are asthmatics was due to the lack of cross ventilation, the property was quite musty smelling. A deep cleaning or removal of the carpeting may be the only mitigation. Noticed a lot of dust in certain areas (window sills especially). One overnight during our 9 night stay was loud music until 3 am, but the location could not be determined. Other than that night, it was a peaceful stay.

My husband and I are native Atlantans and currently reside in Dunwoody. I have been coming to the St. Simons area my entire life. My husband fell in love with the area during a visit to St. Simons over New Years Weekend 2000. On an impulse, we purchased our first property on St. Simons during that fateful trip and it was the best decision that we have made. We love visiting the area with our 2 girls and can't wait for the day that we can spend even more time on the coast.

Why they chose this property

We loved the location of this property. We can walk out the door and be at the beach in 2 minutes. We also loved being able to walk to several great restaurants and over to the King and Prince for a coffee in the morning or a lunch by the pool. From the top deck we watch the ships come and go and the fireworks on New Years and the Fourth of July and never have to leave home.

What makes this property unique

Due to the floorplan of the unit, you are afforded much more privacy than in a typical condo or hotel. With the living areas spread out on 4 levels, it is easy to find a little quiet time. And the large living room/kitchen area is a great place to be when everyone wants to be together. Our guests love the covered decks and the private patio area.
