Check-In was very easy, the place is beautifully decorated, and lots of different spots to hang out in. Kitchen had almost all the things we needed for a Thanksgiving feast, although there was no slow cooker as we had expected. We enjoyed taking the dog down to the big beautiful beach. Recommend you use Sixth Avenue to go down rather than the closer 5th avenue. Much straighter shot to the beach down Sixth.

We had an amazing stay at Mary’s house! It’s a cute little 1930s cottage that has been updated. Close to East beach public access or simply walk along the dune path. Definitely adding this house to our favorites for when we’re ready for another quick run to SSI! The realty group that maintains the property were easy to work with!

Best beach vacation!

Mary’s House is an adorable cottage with a welcoming front porch (screened), clean and comfortable furnishings, well-resourced kitchen, and a perfect location in East Beach. We spent almost two weeks this summer relaxing and enjoying all that SSI has to offer. House is located in an ideal location to great restaurants. We will definitely return and offer high praise!

A Perfect Beach Home

This was the perfect beach home for our family vacation. It was exactly what we needed for our family of six and two pups. We love Mary's House!

We really enjoyed out time at Mary's House! It is a perfect East Beach location, with an easy trek to a lovely uncrowded beach. The house itself has lots of charm and was a great fit for our family of five plus our dog. The kitchen has all the necessities, including a crock pot to save you from worrying about dinner after a long day on the beach. And the house was absolutely spotless when we arrived. Thanks for a wonderful week. We are looking forward to our next visit!

East Beach Cottage

We had a great experience at this property and Ben was always available. Our one problem was a bed had not been changed prior to our arrival and we had to change the sheets, hence to 4 stars for cleanliness. Other than that, which was an easy fix, we recommend this property and hope to stay there again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, it was a decent experience. Several issues need to be addressed. The garbage disposal did not work, which was a problem. The outside grill did not have a grate for the charcoal. The house smelled very musty and the outside yard was very messy and unkempt. unfortunately, we were there during the construction of a fence right next to us. We did enjoy the screened in front porch. There was no backyard at all, which was not indicated in the pictures or description. But one of the major things was that there was not a railing going up the steps to the front door. I needed assistance going up and down the stairs each time. Do building codes not require rails to help enable handicap people?

wish we could've stayed longer

the house was perfect for us and our two dogs. renting a golf cart make living on the island perfect, close to beach, downtown, etc. the house is within walking distance of the beautiful, dog-friendly beach. kitchen has plenty of tools to cook, nice grilling outside, comfy furniture and great screened-in porch to relax. owner was quick to fix a wifi issue. we look forward to returning next year. bring extra toilet paper and paper towels, as only one is provided. 5 star rating for this cute house

We enjoyed our stay and the reason I did not give it 5 stars is because there was a ceiling leak in one of the bedrooms I’m guessing it was the air condition condensation. Overall cute place .
