We did not stay due to sickness (but have stayed many times in the hotel before ownership changed. It was an unpleasant experience as this is a hotel not a cabin park, being bombarded with emails saying I must do this and I must do that, the booking was ok but was not totally easy to understand the options. The cancellation procedure was totally unacceptable the hotel would allow cancellation the website would allow it but always failed, the telephone hotline wasn't allowed to cancel it as she needed permission and would call back (which she did not). Eventiually we called again as it appeared that the delay may prevent refund. This time the operator cancelled it immediately. The follow on email was sent, but it wasn't entirely clear if I would get any money back. But the online help (Amy) was very helpful. So thank you for cancelling my booking and I sad that I missed the hotel as it was an important function that I missed. However, based on my experience with the company, I would not risk booking again with you. I would love to see you manage the city hotel as a typical city hotel, where I can cancel or book with one click on my phone, with clarity and confidence. I hope this feedback is useful I am not trying to be negative, but the experience was not pleasant when dealing with an unexpected medical issue. Thank you :) PS I travel a lot with business so flexibility is a must for a hotel choice.
