We had the most amazing stay at the Red Tree House. It was so peaceful to be right on the lake. We all enjoyed sitting on the deck and dock at all hours of the day. The scenery is amazing! My older son went out every night to watch for the loons and spotted sandpipers, and we all enjoyed the antics of the Bonaparte's gulls that frequented the dock. My husband and son saw a young male moose on the side of the road, just down the street from the house. The house was very comfortable and welcoming, and just as described and shown on the listing. Kelly was an amazing host and easy to communicate with. Check in and check out was a breeze. We really enjoyed the decor and artwork throughout the house too. It was a little bit of a drive (about 30 mins) to Kenai and Soldotna, which is where most of the restaurants are, but we were looking to be away from the cities, and really enjoyed the area. No one wanted to leave when it was time to go. We would love to come back to this property again someday...
Amazing place to stay. Owners were available for questions, check in/out was a breeze, great location, fully loaded kitchen with all appliances in great shape! Views from the deck were A+. Propane grill was available for use on the deck. Bathtub was awesome! Overall this is the best VRBO I’ve ever stayed in!! Thanks Kelly!
We had a wonderful time. The location was perfect for us. The house was nice and clean for our stay. It is set up well for our large family. The kitchen was very nice and seemed new. The washer and dryer were a bonus. The windows overlooking the lake along with the deck and view of the lake was so enjoyable. I will definitely stay here again!
Perfect location on quiet street. Lake was as pictured in listing. Deck was perfect for morning coffee, dinner with our family and evenings enjoying to quiet still of the surroundings. The inside was just as nice. Offered everything we needed for our stay. Again, just as pictured posted in listing. Great place and would love to stay again if our travels bring us back to this part of AK.
We loved this cottage and really enjoyed the lake.
The property was well equipped and the views over the lake spectacular. We saw a moose and two babies walk past the lake from our bedroom patio doors at 12am one night.
The Olde goat cafe which is 5 mins drive away is great and has great coffee and breakfast /lunch/ snacks and is situated in the local hardware store.
The scenery is dramatic and unmatched.
The people were all so friendly and we have some great chats.
A little further north of our last stay near Kenai, but the lake frontage view from the living area was fantastic. Our group included Kitty and I, (74/75) and Kitty's cousin and husband (65). A little removed from our fishing ventures, but a great get a way for the down days-great place to relax and re-charge. The facilities and neighborhood where excellent. The host was very responsive if we had a question. No problems what so ever and would love to return if we come back to Alaska for a third time. Rich/Kitty
This place was magical! We actually drove by the house not thinking it was ours, and when we turned around and found out that it indeed was the place we were going to stay, we all started smiling...it was beautiful! Then when we walked in, it was even better then the pictures had depicted. It was perfect...everything from the open spaces to the Alaskan decor, it was amazing, everything we wanted. The porch was huge, the view, the dock, the firepit was all so fitting for us. It was so glorious, I had to catch the sunrise every morning on the lake, breath taking. And the master bedroom had a sliding glass door that opened up to the lakeside. I really loved that! Everything from the kitchen to the bathrooms were lovely. The neighborhood was quite and peaceful and the places we could visit were endless. My husband and 3 boys (ages 10,14,15)
absolutely loved this home away from home and would tell anyone we could to definitely choose this as a destination spot!
Also, I could not speak more highly of Kelly! She was the best to make arrangements with, patiently answered all of my questions, she made things so easy and was there to offer suggestions on where to go. It was an absolute pleasure to have met her. Thanks Kelly for being so kind and awesome!
Great stay we only had 3 days but we loved the location and the lake. The loons were fun to watch. The property was very nicely decorated (love the giant squids) and very clean. We had a fire by the lake and watched the sun never quite set. Five stars would stay again!
The house is nice, clean and cozy. Located on the lake with nice view. Lot of space and light . Has all utensils needed. The owner responds very fast and is wert helpfull. Kelly guided us with spots and places worth to visit.
Stayed a week in late July. The house was reallly nice. The views of the lake and mountains were incredible and so relaxing to look at when we were there. We didn’t get in until 1:00 am due to delayed flights but the owner had the place open and the key ready when we got there. Owner was very nice and easy to work with. Updated kitchen, huge windows, deck to fish off of and very quiet area. We had the best time during our stay in Alaska and staying at this house.
WE THOROUGHLY ENJOYED THE HOUSE. LAKE WAS BEAUTIFUL AND MY HUSBAND AND SON ACTUALLY WENT SWIMMING. HOUSE HAD ALL ACCOMODATIONS. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
