Villa Cardinalis is a home with two sides: every morning, within twenty minutes, you can choose whether to head down to the sea at Soverato—one of the most beautiful beaches on the Ionian coast—or up to the cool woods of Serra San Bruno with its thousand-year-old Carthusian monastery. Few places in Calabria offer you this choice, and here you can make it from the terrace, coffee in hand.

The house is in the heart of Cardinale, an authentic village where evenings are simply delightful: the air is cool even in the height of summer, and you can dine al fresco at the village’s trattorias, enjoying authentic Calabrian cuisine at prices that will seem like they’re from another era. Homemade pasta, vegetables from the garden, local wine: here, eating well isn’t a luxury—it’s the norm.

Completely renovated and optimised for maximum structural and energy efficiency, the villa features 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, accommodating up to 6 adults and 2 children—ideal for families and groups of friends who want the entire house to themselves. The interiors are tastefully designed, the indoor temperatures are always pleasant, and you’ll find everything you need for a worry-free stay.

Upon request, we organise boat excursions along the coast, and as your local host, I’m always available to recommend beaches, hiking trails, and the best restaurants in the village.
