Far from "luxurious", both in the home and the owner.
On paper, the house sounded great. It had the space we needed for a party of 15 and the location was great. The homeowner was responsive and I was excited for a bachelorette weekend. Upon arrival, the house was spacious and looked great on the surface. However, after a few hours we began to notice some issues with the house. 
In the main floor, there were crushed bugs on the wall and the towel bar in the downstairs bathroom was broken with no notice. The kitchen had rotten fruit and there was food under the oven. Walking up the stairs, there were scuffmarks on the wall. In the first bathroom, there was a used Band-Aid in the shower. In the bedroom with the bunkbeds, there were white stains on the linens and waterbottles and other clothing items under the beds. In the master bedroom, however, the main issues were found. There were more dead bugs on the wall, and that was the best case scenario. There were unknown stains behind the headboard, and worst of all what appeared to be crusted vomit on the wall and lampshade. There were more mysterious white stains, and bedbug spray in the bathroom (which later led to bedbug bites from the three people that stayed in that room). 
Despite the issues, we decided to enjoy our first night and watch TV. When someone paying to stay in the house pulled into the driveway to bring their stuff in, within 15 minutes they were met with a note to remove the car immediately or else the police would be called. The next morning, after we noticed that our feet were completely black from walking around the house barefoot, we decided to contact the owner. A member of the party explained that the house was dirty and that it was unacceptable and filed a formal complaint. The homeowner offered to send a cleaning crew now, to which my friend explained that we were going to the beach and would not be home to be around our belongings. Galina then became progressively angrier and yelled back at the person on the phone saying that there was nothing more she could do and hung up the phone. 
After leaving, the emails got continuously nasty. Galina, upon being asked to refund the cleaning fee to me, stated that I was "looking for a good time" and that I was "up to something" which is why we did not want a cleaning crew to come. She then said that I lied on the contract and had more people than we agreed (which was not the case). After 3 weeks late on the refund, she tried to charge me the CC fee that she should have paid. Appalling.
