Ventimiglia

Property is a little slice of historic charm, with wood beam ceilings and thick walls. Beautiful terrace, amazing view of the ocean, and comfortable bed. Note: it is on a very narrow road and sometimes you encounter a vehicle going down while you are going up. On occasion you will have to back-up to allow a vehicle to pass. If you are confident backing down narrow roads, then this is the place for you!

Heerlijke plek, prachtig uitzicht, lekker privé en een fijn bed. Goede plek om lekker uit te rusten en op je gemakje uitjes te maken. Calandre (strand) is een dikke aanrader en een dagje boekje lezen op het dakterras ook! Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

In eerste instantie dachten we dat het huis ver van de zee lag met een moeilijk te nemen route naar boven. Dit heeft verder geen invloed gehad op een prettige vakantie die we gehad hebben. Met s'avonds een prachtig uitzicht over de stad en in de verte de zee. In Ventimiglia zijn wel wat vluchtelingen die voor geen enkele overlast zorgen. Verder is het huisje de perfecte uitvalsbasis voor bezoeken aan Aqua Dolce en vele mooie plekken aan de bloemenriviera als de mooie stadjes aan de Cote d'Azure.

De eigenaresse heeft ons heel vriendelijk ontvangen, ze vertelde gelijk wat er in de omgeving te doen is. Als je vragen hebt, kun je haar appen, dit is wel heel makkelijk. Het huisje is te doen voor 5 volwassenen, omdat je vooral buiten op het terras leeft. Keuken is prima, maar geen vaatwasser. Er is wel een wasmachine in het huisje. Het uitzicht vanaf het terras is prachtig, ontbijten met uitzicht op zee! Er staat ook een bbq op het terras. De bedden waren goed. De weg naar het huisje is wel heel smal, maar het went wel. De omgeving is mooi, vooral de plaatsen Menton, Nice en Monaco zijn een aanrader voor een dagje. Het strand van Ventimiglia is een kiezelstrand, dit vonden wij het minst mooie strand. Het fijnste strand is bij Monaco, omdat dat een zandstrand is. Op alle stranden heb je eigenlijk altijd voldoende plek om te leggen, het is nooit heel vol. In Ventimiglia zijn wel veel vluchtelingen, maar ze vielen ons niet lastig.

Wir wurden herzlich von der Eigentümerin empfangen. Der Weg zur Unterkunft, waren die letzten 5km sehr abenteuerlich. Die Straße war eng (fast nur einspurig befahrbar), kaum Ausweichmöglichkeiten, wenn man oben ankam, wurde Man aber durch die schöne Aussicht belohnt. Die Unterkunft war sehr überschaubar. Wir hatten uns gerne auf der großen Terrasse aufgehalten (4 Personen), die angenehm schattig war. Die Unterkunft war sauber. Wir haben mehrfach die Waschmaschine benutzt. Zum kochen war alles da . Für Ausflüge (Nizza, Monaco mit Zug , San Remo,....) super Lage. Großer Markt Freitags in Ventimiglia . Wir haben uns alle dort gut erholt.

Vriendelijke ontvangst door de gastvrouw die ook Nederlands sprak. Klein maar geriefelijk ingericht huisje op de oostflank van een heuvel. De airconditioning die er is in elke kamer, hebben we zelfs niet nodig gehad omdat het er koel bleef door de ligging van het huis (schaduw van de namiddag af). Prachtig uitzicht op de bergen, riviermonding, Ventimiglia en de zee. We hebben elke dag ontbeten op het terras met dit mooie uitzicht. Het huisje zelfs is rustig gelegen en perfect als uitvalsbasis voor uitstappen naar steden (San Remo, Nice, Menton) en stranden in de buurt (keistrand in Ventimiglia, zandstrand in Menton). Voor de inkopen zijn meerdere grootwaren huizen in de buurt (Coop, Okay, Billa) of de authentieke overdekte markt in Ventimiglia voor fruit, groenten en de lokale specialiteiten. Het enige nadeel is de bochtige smalle weg van 3 km naar het huis toe. Met een wat grotere wagen is het voor elke tegenligger opletten. Soms moet een van beiden een stukje achteruit rijden of moeten de zijspiegels worden ingeklapt om elkaar te kunnen kruisen. De locals rijden er niet voor niets bijna allemaal met kleine Fiatjes of scooters. Het is geen weg die je \'s morgens even snel neemt om naar de bakker te rijden maar er is een oven in het huisje dus je kan je broodjes zelf afbakken elke morgen. Dus eigenlijk is ook daar een oplossing voor. We hebben er een leuke vakantie gehad en voor zijn prijs is het zeker de moeite waard.

Wauw na zo'n reis word je verrast met zo'n uitzicht echt geweldig. Elke ochtend met het zonnetje op het terras ontbeten en in de namiddag de welkome schaduw. Hierdoor was het huisje altijd lekker koel en hebben we ook heerlijk kunnen slapen, de bedden zijn goed een dik vrij nieuw matras, lekkere douche en het is erg fijn om een wasmachine te hebben. We hebben een paar keer gekookt en alle basis dingen zijn aanwezig. We hebben 2x filter koffie gezet en toen hebben we op de Italiaanse manier koffie gezet (3 kannetje aanwezig) dat hebben we de hele vakantie volgehouden want dat was toch echt lekkerder. Het huisje is een prima uitval basis om veel mooie plekjes in de omgeving te bewonderen, zoals Dolceaqua, Pigna, Imperia, Menton, Nice, Monaco, de Ligurische Alpen en nog veel meer. Er is elke vrijdag een gigantische markt in Ventimiglia, voor deze markt komen er zelfs bussen uit Marseille. De markt staat er de hele dag en is echt een aanrader als je van markten houdt. Verder een kleine waarschuwing, je moet wel wat rij ervaring hebben in deze omgeving, scooters komen je links, rechts, voor en achter voorbij, wij zijn wat gewent maar soms was het best spannend. De weg naar het huisje omhoog is soms ook best spannend, je moet de berg op voor dat schitterende uitzicht, maar de bergweg is op veel stukken vrij smal, iedereen houd daar over het algemeen wel rekening mee, bv stukje achteruit rijden naar een breder stuk. Bij aankomt in Ventimiglia liet onze tomtom ons via de andere kant van de berg omhoog gaan (heel onlogisch achteraf) deze weg is echt heel erg slecht en gevaarlijk, tip is om de coördinaten te gebruiken voor het huisje, als je al ziet dat het wegdek zeer slecht is, dan omdraaien en richting Ventimiglia centro rijden dan pakt de tomtom de goeie weg op. We hebben erg genoten, helaas is de werkweek alweer begonnen.

De streek is top niks op aan te merken het huisje zelf is ook wel ok maar de bedden(matrassen) zijn niets waard je kan evengoed op een bed vol stenen slapen voelt net hetzelfde aan rugpijn nekpijn en blauwe plekken van de veren die er haast uitsteken vind voor de prijs dat je ervoor betaald wel een fatsoenlijk bed mag aanwezig zijn en privé parking als je dat privé noemt !!??? vrij hoog wandelen naar het huis niet aan te raden voor gezinnen met kindjes de streek zelf is helemaal top kom er al jaren maar in zo een huisje nooit meer .

De omgeving (Sanremo, Monaco, Menton) is geweldig om te zien. Ook de verschillende bergweggetjes met het fabelachtige uitzicht zijn een aanrader. Sanremo deed ons verbazen. Wat een enorme art nouveau bouwkunst, en bijna alles staat leeg. De lokatie van het vakantieverblijf is prima doordat het wat hoger is gelegen is ook de temperatuur goed vol te houden.

Leuk appartement. Zeer geschikt voor twee personen. Twee slaapkamers en een woonkeuken. Grote slaapkamer is lekker koel en fris. Drie split airco units, niet nodig gehad. Het smalle weggetje vanaf Ventimiglia naar het huis is goed te doen, soms wat overleg nodig. Huiseigenaren zijn bijzonder aardig en hulpvaardig. Wij hadden pech met de auto en door toedoen van de huiseigenaar was het leed snel geleden. Buurtbewoners waren ook al zo aardig te helpen. De honden in de buurt maken veel herrie, valt 's nacht gelukkig mee. Mooi uitzicht en vele uitstap mogelijkheden. Monaco, Menton (Fr) en vele plaatsen in Ligurie zelf. Aan te bevelen. Heerlijke vakantie in prima appartement en van alle gemakken voorzien. Het terras is helemaal top, vanaf 's morgens vroeg de zon, deels schaduw van een palmboom, uitzicht op de stad en MiddenlandseZee en een heerlijk klimaat. Ontbijten in de ochtendzon, kinderen spelen met water enz. In de omgeving is veel te zien, zee, stand, en diverse leuke dorpjes welke de moeite meer dan waard zijn. Wegen zijn erg smal en bochtig maar andere weggebruikers waren opvallend galant in het verkeer, geen enkele probleem. Appartement, en omgeving een aanrader !
