The property was exactly as described and more. Clean and comfortable with plenty of room for everyone especially on rainy days. Great internet and fully stocked kitchen. Looking forward to returning next year.
Our whole family enjoyed a relaxing week in Ogunquit, staying in this beautiful home in a lovely neighborhood nestled between the Marginal Way and Perkins Cove. The home was spacious and clean, and the kitchen was well-equipped. The included bed linens, towels and beach towels were a plus. The backyard was so private with a grapevine arbor over the picnic area and a field beyond. Just perfect!
Location is great, very easy access to marginal way, perkins cove and the restaurants in that area. Owners live right behind the house which is convenient should you need anything. We met George, really good guy.
This is the second time we have rented this property. Our entire family loves the accommodations and location of property. The host family is wonderful and makes you feel right at home. Thanks for a terrific week.
House was very spacious and clean. Owner was very available for anything we needed. We ended up staying longer than planned and the owner was very gracious about extending our stay.
This was the second year in a row that we spent a week in this home and we had another great stay! The home is spacious and clean, and the location can't be beat! We loved having coffee and drinks on the front porch, the easy walk to Marginal Way, and close proximity to Perkin's Cove, restaurants, and shops. We hope to be back soon!
Was visiting Ogunquit for my first time with my family and it was a great experience. The house was clean and comfortable. The owner helped check us in and made sure we were comfortable. The location for us was perfect, a short walk to Marginal way and Perkins Cove made it easy to go see the beauty of Ogunquit. A great experience and very good host. We would do again!
This was a perfect property for our family of 6 women. The house was spacious and having a third bathroom was a big plus. We loved being walking distance to restaurants, shops, and the beach. It was so easy to be on foot instead of sitting in traffic. We loved our time together in beautiful Ogunquit.

A very nice well kept house. Our family of 8, six adults and our two grandchildren ages 2 &4 had a wonderful week. Comfortable accommodations. Spacious kitchen and eating area. Quiet side street just off Perkins Cove. Walking distance to everything. We would have no problems renting this house again.
Our family (group of 8 adults and a 3 and 1 year old) recently stayed at this property and we had a fantastic time! You can't beat the location as it's walking distance to Perkin's Cove, Marginal Way, Ogunquit Center, and Ogunquit Beach, yet tucked away on a quiet street. The home is very clean and spacious - plenty of room for a group to relax and not feel on top of each other. We loved sitting on the front porch throughout the day in the comfy Adirondack chairs - enjoying a coffee or drink! The owners were also very kind and responsive. We will definitely rent again and look forward to going back!
My two daughters and their families stayed in this house for a week. There was plenty of room for all adults and two children plus one baby. The Marginal Way is only one block away and the children's beach just a short walk. Also easily walkable to town and Perkins Cove. The neighborhood is quiet and the backyard perfect for kids games and barbeques. The house was spotless and the kitchen/dining room plenty of room for family gatherings. We would definitely highly recommend this property and would stay here again in a heartbeat!
The property is exactly as depicted. The owners were very prompt with communications and responses to everything and made you feel like family. The space lends itself to family gatherings around a large dining room table open to the kitchen. The Adirondack chairs on the porch are a great place to relax, listen to the quiet, view the beautiful sky! The walk to the Marginal way and Perkins Cove is quick and lovely and of course once you get there, breathtaking views. A must stay location if in the area!!!!

comfy home, plenty of room for all!
Comfy adirondack chairs span the front porch for am coffee and pm beverages. Backyard has a large picnic table under a healthy grape vine for shade all day. Watch the butterflies and goldfinch in the field as you dine under the arbor! short walk to small beaches off the marginal way, perfect for the little ones. 5 minute walk to Perkins Cove. Bedrooms are comfy with a/c for the hot days. Enjoy Lew Ann's am yoga class in the field--great way to start a vacation day. Would book this home again. :-)

Truly our Home Away from Home
We have been renting this home since it was first built - for 13 years and 2017 will be our 14th year. Last year we hosted our 50th anniversary party with guests coming from all over the East and South. They stayed at places in Ogunquit but all of the activities were at the Galway and the beach. It was wonderful! George and LewAnn eare now part of the family and make everything so special. Our grandchildren from London cry when they leave and when they arrive they run in laughing and looking to make sure everything is as it has always been. Honestly, there is not a single thing we would change. It is just a tremendous month in a very special place. Thank you so much, George and LewAnn for sharing this with us.
Lew-Ann was great and came to say hi when we just arrived to the house. We rented another house last year right across from this one so I actually had met/talked to her last year without knowing she was also the owner of this house.
This house was perfect for our party. There weren't a lot of knick-knacks sitting around so the kids couldn't break anything - huge plus. Kitchen table was huge and fit our large party. I really loved the openness of the layout. The backyard was great for yard games and front porch was lovely to sit on for evening drinks.
Only comment for future renters is to know the main downstairs area and 1st floor bedroom is not air conditioned. - only the 3 upstairs bedrooms are. It was nice enough weather where the several window fans running downstairs kept the house a nice temperature. If you're renting during a week of 90+ degree temps it might be a little hot in the main living area.
Another huge plus was that there were plenty of towels (beach, shower, kitchen, washcloths). We seem to always rent places that have very few and end up having to do multiple washes a week to have enough.
I would 100% recommend this house to large parties with kids of varying ages. We'll definitely be renting again!
This was our second time staying at the Cooley's house. There is so much we liked about it. The location right off of Shore Road but in a quiet neighborhood is ideal. It is a very clean and spacious house...perfect for a big family. We enjoyed the yard to be able to play outdoor games and the porch to relax on. Linens and towels provided were a huge convenience, as well as the washer and dryer!!. The kitchen had almost everything we needed to use to make our family dinners. George and Lew-Ann were very good at getting back to us with any questions we had and just a pleasure to rent from.
We enjoyed a lovely long weekend at this Ogunquit property. The location was ideal, close to shopping, restaurants, beach, and of course The Marginal Way! Highly recommended this for family or friends!
Property is on a quiet, private street just off one of three main thoroughfares in town. Short walk to Perkins Cove and Marginal Way.
We had the pleasure of meeting the property owners and learned a great deal more about Ogunquit than we learned in our previous five visits.

About the host
Hosted by George Cooley
George and Lew-Ann built this home in 2004. They live right there on the property and spend their days sailing, working in the garden and playing with their cats, Nosara and Nicoya.
Why they chose this property
When looking for the right place for a family reunion or a private home to share with friends, Galway is the best location in town. There is more open land around this house than any rental in Ogunquit. There are two undeveloped lots behind the house and it is on a private road going through an apple orchard.
Behind the house is a shaded picnic area under a covering of fresh concord grapes. Just beyond is a beautiful meadow filled with wild flowers. Three other houses on same property are also enclosed in this private field where the sounds of the busy streets beyond seem far away.
What more you anyone want?
The town trollies stop the corner of the adjacent street. You can walk into Perkins Cove for shopping, dining and boat adventures.
You can walk down town to the many shops and restaurants and you can walk to the Marginal Way and little beaches along the way in just minutes.
There is a golf course, playhouse, sailing, surfing and fishing all close by and Boston, Portsmouth and Portland are all close enough to explore when the time is right.
What makes this property unique
For the best outdoor dining in town stay home and have cooked lobster delivered to the picnic table.
Yoga is offered on the premises and a garden is full of fresh vegitables and flowers in season
