Spent 5 days in Ogunquit and absolutely loved this space. Easy to walk everywhere, quiet, but also right in the middle of everything. Stayed with 5 adult and 2 kids and the house was the perfect space for our trip. We would absolutely stay again!
Convenient to shopping, dining, Marginal Way, etc. Large enough to entertain visitors—pool was a bonus. Had best meal of our trip at the restaurant next door.
We had a fantastic stay at this property in Ogunquit and look forward to staying again! The location is perfect for walking and the property owners are very responsive.
We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed the accommodations. The hosts were very responsive and kind. The property was well maintained and cleaned. Would stay again!
We had a great week in Ogunquit with a large group of extended family. The house was very conveniently located to get to the harbor in Perkins cove and the start of the marginal way, and only about 15 minutes to walk into town. There is a large living room with plenty of seating and a family room as well. Kitchen has everything you need if you want to make meals at home and there is a gas grill. The pool was really fun for the teenage members of our group and it was surprisingly private considering it is right on shore drive. There was quite a bit of noise from trucks early in the morning which can be blocked out by running the air conditioners.
We had a wonderful week in Ogunquit! With 5 adults and 2 toddlers, the house was a perfect size and walking distance to Perkins Cove, Ogunquit beach and the center of town! Briana and Rick were great hosts and you must try “That Place” restaurant right next door! Highly recommend!
We all loved our trip. The house was charming, spacious, well maintained, comfortable and very clean! The pool and yard were great. Location was fabulous. Hosts were so nice and welcoming. Thank you to Rick and Borianna.
We loved the home, the location of the home,
the swimming pool, the owners and their amazing restaurant which is right next door.
We can’t wait to come back.
It was truly an amazing week!!!
Had a lovely stay again at this property. House is nice and big, great pool and great location! Owners always very easy to communicate with during our stay. Fabulous week to kick off the summer!
This is the second time staying at this beautiful property. Rick and Boriana are very attentive & accommodating. Check in was super easy & we were always able to reach them if we had questions/needed something. The house fit 6 adults + 5 children comfortably. The location of this house is incredible. We will definitely be staying here again.
Our ages ranged from 7- 80 and what fun we had. the 3 youngest adored the pool; in and out at all times of day and evening...and so did the grown-ups who were glad they were not hearing, "when are we going to the beach?" the house is spacious, clean, very easy to live in; a minute walk to. Perkins Cove and the Marginal Way. We would definitely return. Many thanks to our gracious hostess and host.
This house in Ogunquit is right by Perkins Cove and a 5 minute walk to the Marginal Way. It's spacious with the perfect combination of modern amenities (pool, sub zero frig, flat screen tv's) and historical character (wood floors and architectural woodwork, vintage tile floors in bathrooms). Hosts were invisible until we needed anything, and then right there immediately.
My large family of 10 had an amazing time and could spread out and relax with each other. And dinner and drinks next door at That Place was perfect and fun.
Thank you Rick and Boriana! We will be back next year!!
It's a beautiful old house that can accommodate at least 10 family members and friends. Lot's of space to relax in your own area or gather as a group. It was very clean and ready for us to move in at the start of our week. Boriana met us there. She was very helpful and available if we had questions. The pool is a great extra! Perkins cove is right around the corner so it's an easy walk. Town and Ogunquit beach are about a mile away, very walkable (or bike-able) if you don't feel like driving. All in all a great house and great owners!
Several Wi-fi networks on property. Which one to use? Dining area rug curled up on edges. Tripping hazard. Parking unclear. A map would be helpful. Guests should know that pool is shared with another property. Despite issues we had a great time.
My friends and our young children stayed at the house, so there were varying needs at all times. The location was very convenient to get food or extra energy out at nearby Perkins Cove and the Marginal Way. The house was very spacious with some quirks here and there due to age but nothing that impacted our stay negatively. The pool is great, but not heated so keep this in mind if you’re a softy like me. Boriana was helpful when there were needs that came up during our stay e.g. dishwasher pods are out. For the price, the kitchen and linens could be better stocked. I’ve never been to a house so close to the beach that didn’t offer beach towels. So make sure to pack those. This was a small purchase to make but a nuisance and the reason for not providing them made me think to myself, “So, why is that MY problem now?”

It’s an old house. That’s not a problem at all. In fact, the old gives it a charm.
When the plumbing had issues, doorknobs fell off on the first turn, showers didn't work&mice were in the house I decided to be understanding.
Yes we had spent over 10K to stay in this house but they also had just survived COVID as small business owners.
The owner gives no instructions about trash or how to do anything w/the house. No cleaning supplies either but I headed to the store for cleaning sprays, mop, broom, and toilet paper. I wanted to keep up on the floors and surfaces while I was there to help out.
The first day we were there my husband had just got out of the shower and was lying in bed. The owner walked right in to the bedroom he was in and asked him what he was doing there. She offered no apology and he sat there uncomfortably for 5 minutes, her standing in the doorway while he was lying in bed, while she asked questions about where me and the kids were&our whereabouts.
That was such an unpleasant way to start our trip.
Things got worse when we left, though.
The owner started harassing me with texts about the state of the house.
I’ve been using VRBO for over a decade. We leave houses like I’m sure everyone else does. We follow all the instructions; stripping sheets, putting away dishes, etc. Ready for cleaners to come in after.
For ex, a Popsicle had slightly melted in the freezer and there was a little bit of a purple melt in the bottom. She texted us a picture of it as if we were supposed to feel awful that a Popsicle left a small mess in the freezer.
She accused us of making the oven a mess but we ate out basically every meal. We used it once for baked potatoes. No, we didn’t mess the oven up.
She accused us of peeing on the wall! And the bathroom she made the accusation about was one that was only used by our daughter.
She charges a cleaning fee, which is standard. But who charges a cleaning fee and then harasses renters when the cleaners clean up regular wear and tear?
She even harassed me because we moved a bed 2ft so two of our kids beds were closer. I mean, who goes to the trouble of harassing about a small bed being moved two feet when you can just push it back?
Over a decade using VRBO&I’ve never met a property owner more rude, inconsiderate, and mean. I wish I had not been so understanding&easy going during our during our stay.
The owner was so incredibly rude, don't rent this home.
Ideal Location, Fantastic Accommodations for Large/Combined Families
We already loved Ogunquit, Perkins Cove and the Marginal Way but this location made everything so accessible with the convenience and comfort of space, cleanliness and a pool! The house is so charming and had plenty of seating areas to give our two families (two kids each) space to relax and unwind. Our hosts were easy to access and we didn't run into any issues. I can't emphasize enough what a wonderful location and how comfortable we were during our stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay. Plenty of room for a group. Eat-in kitchen with great amenities. Large dining room, living room and front family room. First floor has half bath with laundry facilities, and a bedroom with full bathroom. Upstairs has four good-sized bedrooms and two full baths. Outside deck overlooks the tranquil pool area. The location is great. It’s a quick walk to Perkins Cove and a longer walk to Ogunquit center (or take the trolly). The restaurant next door, run by the homeowners, offered delicious meals. We were so happy with everything about our stay!
Had another fun year renting this perfectly located house in Perkins Cove. The owners are easy to deal with, the house is spacious and clean, and it’s easy to access all the beaches/activities in Ogunquit.
We had the best vacation. It is in the perfect location — steps away from Perkins Cove and That Place restaurant! The kids adored the pool every day, and we would walk downtown to explore the shops and beach. And so many bedrooms! We had wonderful feasts at home in the big dining room and played games in the bright front room at night. Our kids have made us promise that we come back often and only stay here. We loved it!
Everything we were looking for and more. Property Manager was friendly and accommodating. When the weather is good the pool area is ideal. The House is clean and spacious.
The Restaurant next door is World class, has a lovely character, a great menu and friendly staff. A must visit.
Excellent location! This property is within walking distance of anything that you would want to do while staying in Ogunquit, Maine! The property is beautifully maintained and was spotless upon our arrival. The check in process is flawless. The restaurant that is located right next-door is owned by the owners of the property. Boriana was wonderful in helping me set up a surprise birthday dinner for my wife’s 60th birthday! We had 16 family members at that dinner and everything about the experience was terrific! Although there are a number of restaurants in the area, we chose to eat at that restaurant more than once. Food and drinks were excellent! Whether you decide to stay at this property or not, I would strongly recommend making a trip into the restaurant, which is called “That Place”. We will definitely be looking to spend another visit staying at this property!!

About the host
Hosted by Rick and Boriana Dolliver
For more than 50 years, this property was known as the Hayes Guest House on Shore Road. Eleanor Hayes welcomed travelers with homemade breakfasts, lovingly kept rooms, and a charming doll and gift shop that once filled the front of the building - making it a memorable stop for generations of Ogunquit visitors.
In November 2018, we were honored to become the new stewards of this special place. Since then, we’ve thoughtfully reimagined the property as a comfortable and welcoming coastal getaway, while preserving the character and history that make it so unique.
We are the owners of That Place in Ogunquit, our family-owned restaurant located next door.
Just steps from iconic Perkins Cove and with the added bonus of an on-site pool, we hope this property becomes a place where you can slow down, explore, and create your own Ogunquit memories.
What makes this property unique
Our location is hard to beat — just steps from Perkins Cove and within walking distance to beaches, shops, restaurants, and the Marginal Way. You can park your car and enjoy Ogunquit on foot.
The on-site pool is what truly sets this property apart. It’s a rare amenity this close to everything and the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring.
