The Mays Place Bed and Breakfast whole house option
Our historic home was built in 1890 by Robert Mays for his lovely new bride. The home has been maintained in near original fashion. Take a step back in time and enjoy antiques, the old fashion pull toliet, a half acre of landscaped yard and a variety of wildlife.
Although we are a bed and breakfast we also rent the full home for families and large groups. We are flexible and willing to accommodate guest needs, advise of local attractions and have an offsite location to board your horses.

Beautiful 1890 home in the quiet little town . Was a great place for family to gather for a wedding in LaGrande . Everything was within walking distance in Elgin. Stacy was there to welcome us . Great property !

Family Reunion
We rented the whole house for a family reunion in Elgin. We had all five rooms filled with family and the main reunion was at a ranch just out of town. The house was amazing it. It had everything that we needed and all of the eclectic decoration was right up my alley!

We rented the whole house for 8 family members. It worked out fantastically. The house is clean, stocked with all the basic necessities and well appointed with so many treasures to see! Stacy is a great host, very congenial and a pleasure to deal with. We will do it again when the occasion arises!

This home is such a unique treasure I felt it should be shared. The history of this home is incredible. As the 7th owner since 1890 I can say it has been loved. We have a great display of local history.
It is a great home base for those wanting to explore Union County, ride the WURR Eagle Cap Excursion Train, Elgin Opera, Rail Riders, Miniam Rafting, Wallowa County, Joseph and Wallowa Lake.
