About this property

Relax with the whole family at this cozy 2 bedroom home. Everything you need for a peaceful getaway is provided. Kid friendly with a fenced back yard and quiet neighbors. Small breed dogs allowed - please check with us for larger breeds before booking. Sleeping accommodations include: Queen bed, Twin/Full bunk bed, Rollaway bed, a couch, a queen size air mattress, and a futon.

Live theater performances at the Elgin Opera House. Check out what’s coming at: elginoperahouse.com.

Take a ride on the Eagle Cap Excursion Train! Their schedule can be found at: eaglecaptrainrides.com. There is also a printed schedule in our guide book located in the home.

If your into history, take a visit to the Elgin Museum in our little downtown. Open Thursday - Saturday 10 am - 4 pm.

Want an adrenaline rush? Take a raft ride down the Grande Ronde River with Joining Waters. Their contact information can be found at: joiningwaters.com/contact-us.

If relaxation is what you have in mind, the home is located a short 29 minute drive from our local Hot Lake Resort and soaking tubs! You can book a soak online at: hotlakelodge.com/the-hot-springs/
From personal experience, it is worth the drive.

Looking for a date night? Check out the Granada Theater (18 miles from the house). Showtimes and ticket prices can be found at: www.lagrandemovies.com

We also have a seasonal drive-in theater (19 miles from the house) gates open at 9 pm and movies start at dusk. If your interested in what movies are playing check out their link at: www.lagrandemovies.com

Sight seeing can be done at Jubilee lake (33 miles from the house) between July and November every year. The lake is beautiful with a wrap around walking path to enjoy the scenery.

We have a fishing hole named Roulet Pond that is stocked every so often. It’s quiet and only a 4 mile drive from the house!

Boating, fishing, hiking, and more can be done at Wallowa Lake (39 miles from the house). Take a packed lunch and enjoy the outdoors at one of their many picnic tables.

We have new amenities!

During summer months you will also have access to our community swimming pool free of charge to you (0.3 miles from the house) - a pool schedule will be located in the guidebook inside the home!

Need to get a workout in? The Blue Mountain Getaway has a membership for our guests at the local Olympis Fitness Gym (0.3 miles from the house). Just fill out the gyms waiver, swipe the card, and get your blood pumping!

Comfortable place to stay

This place had everything we needed: well furnished kitchen, spacious living room, comfortable beds and plenty of parking. We will definitely stay there again.

Convenient Location

Plenty of room, well supplied, worked out perfectly for what we needed. We were in town to ride the Eagle Cap Excursion Train. Communication with owner went very well.

She was a great host! My son wasn’t feeling well and she let us check in early! Made the trip so much better. He rested and was good to go. Also the place is very homie and comfortable. Is is an older house but for price and age a great value. We would stay again!!!

Charming Property in Elgin, Oregon

We had a wonderful stay at this charming property in Elgin, Oregon, before heading out on the Eagle Cap Train Excursion. The home is located in a peaceful neighborhood, but still conveniently close to the train station and within walking distance of several great places to eat. The house itself was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed to feel right at home. The owner clearly takes great care in ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience, going the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Highly recommend this place if you're planning a trip to Elgin!

Great jump off point for rafting!

We had a great stay and everything in the house was really thoughtful. We enjoyed being able to relax and watch movies before taking off for rafting in the morning which was only 20 minutes away.

Perfect Little Getaway

This was a great location in Elgin and walkable to everything. We only stayed one night but would definitely come back. The only note is while the backyard might be fenced, it is not a solid enough fence to coral a dog to pee alone :). But such a minor issue. The house was super cute and clean and quite comfortable for the time we were there.

Elgin getaway

Had everything we needed plus some extras. Very clean, convenient location, perfect size for our group (4 people), with extras like cold drinks in frig, snacks, and coffee selection. Very welcoming. Easy communication with host. Definitely would stay here again.

Basketball tournament

This is the second time that we have stayed there because my son has a basketball tournament and plays in the Elgin high school, which is right down the road. It’s a great neutral location for all the games and the host is nice and responds very quickly! And my kids love it that it’s decorated for Christmas during Christmas time!

Recently plowed and shoveled with all the snow they recently got, house was warm even with the negative tempatures outside, white Christmas lights were so welcoming will definitely stay again owner is fantastic and very quick to respond when you have any questions!!!

Making memo

We stayed at this amazing property to spend quality time with family. Im origin from Elgin but moved away many years ago but my parents and relatives still live here. Well my oldest just had her first baby, my first granddaughter and my parents first great granddaughter . We spent this time introducing them all and letting them get to know her. This home made it possible to be comfortable and not in a cramped hotel room. Our host was wonderful, she went above and beyond and made our stay memorable. We will definitely be back and recommend it to everyone. Thank you

Five Stars All The Way

This vacation rental was CLEAN, cozy, and very tastefully decorated by the owner, (who was VERY responsive to communication) and it was provided with everything we could want in terms of necessities. The owner took extra steps to put nice touches to even those necessities, such as drinks left for us, snacks, toiletries, etc. Large spacious bathroom with a "power" shower and lots of spare towels. Comfortable beds, and close to the main part of town. TWO THUMBS UP!

What a great little place to stay. My family and I have stayed at many homes. This has got to be one of our top 3. Nothing fancy but everything you could possibly need. Super clean, well though out house. My kids dropped their phones played board games, watched movies and went swimming. Every vacation home should take notes from this property. Thank you!!

Hidden Gem

I cannot say enough positive things about Khirenda and this home. The house is immaculately kept and very clean. It is well stocked with kitchen essentials, bathroom essentials, and bedding. Additionally, Khirenda had holiday decor up to give a more homey, comfortable feel. Parking is perfect and the location is in a safe, quiet neighborhood just off the main street. If you're wanting a place close by for Elgin Stockshow, this is within walking distance! It's also conveniently located near the store and a place to eat. There were snacks for us and the kids and some drinks in the fridge. Khirenda went above and beyond in our particular circumstance as we were in town for the funeral of a friend. Because of this, she even provided some frozen pizzas to help take some burden off of our plates. My 8 year old loved that there were coloring books and crayons in the kids room, and my 11 year old was thrilled with the gaming station. The guidebook is fantastic. Khirenda provides all necessary information and thensome. When I did need to message Khirenda, she was so down to earth and efficient. Khirenda truly goes above and beyond for her guests. This is hands down the nicest VRBO rental we have stayed in with the most gracious host. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great place in Elgin

We came out to visit family in the Elgin area. This place was super convenient. The house was very clean, everything worked and it was stocked with everything we needed. The property manager was great and very helpful. No issues and we will likely be renting this house again in the future.

We have a driveway long enough to park two toy trailers along with your vehicles and there is extra parking along the street in front of the house. Elgin is a small town with welcoming people. The home is located a short walk away from our restaurants and local bars. We are also located just a couple blocks down from the Elgin Opera House.
